Title: Nothing Plays (noob)

Hi,

I'm running the build of XBMP dated April 19th, 2004. I am currently running from CD.

My XBox is a v. 1.5 running Aladdin Advance+ mod.

I can boot XBMP fine, and I can drop in a CD or DVD with files on it and browse those files. What I cannot do is play or view any of them. I have tried .mp3, .mpg, .jpg, .jpeg, and .avi. For the audio and video files, nothing happens when I click A or Play (on the DVD-playback remote). For the images, when I click on one it locks the whole app.

Any ideas?

 Are you running XBMP from a cd?  :blink:

You need to have XBMP on the hard drive.

The user's manual states that you can run off CD and change media to play as long as your system has the eject hack, which mine does. Is the manual incorrect, then? Or is my CD not set up correctly?
