Title: No Playback On Any Video File

I have XBMC released as: (xbox_media_center_2004-03-09_build-proper-ind)
and i unzip it, ftp it over to my xbox after setting up my smb shares, it loads properly, i then browse to open a file, then i hit A to play the file, and it freezes.  The text that scrolls when on a filename stopped, and that's what i get every time.

I then have to IGR to get out of it, so it seems that the xbox isn't failing, but that the program is.

I modded my xbox with the toggle switch BIOS method, and i'm using the current (as of mar19-04) xecuter2 bios, evox 3935, my ms bios (probably doesn't matter, but for info's sake) version is 4034, and was cracked with the savegame method.  No modchip installed.

This happened also when i tried to run xbmp2.4 also, i deleted all the old xbmp files before install, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I've tried turning the IGR off, that didn't work.

well, turns out that it works, but it takes a LOOOONG time to cache....i had never waited after an assumed failure long enough to see the file actually play.

I'm gonna look into my physical network and see if there are any problems, thanks for your help anyway :rolleyes:   <

BTW, i found out that there is a problem on the XBMC side of things, i did performance monitoring on 2 separate machines, and when it begins to cache data over the network, the speed never goes over about 1.5KB/sec, it's going about as fast as my old 56k modem did ;-), when browsing the files and such, it seems fine, and speeds get up to about  5KB/sec, which is still slow, but adequate for file browsing.

I also checked the integrity of my internal network, and it seems fine.  Transfered files between 2 pc's and no problem, and high speeds (500KB/sec) obtained.  Also checked the net cable to the xbox and that was fine, swapped it with another cat5 cord, and the same problem.
