You need a crossover cable between the computer and the xbox unless you use a hub.

True. Can't use straight through cables from xbox to nic.

cheers guys.... maybe someone might think about putting this in the guides and explaining the differences between the cables as i didnt know =)
but brought one on ebay now so thnx for the HELPFUL advices guys =)
