I have been using the 360 skin build by KOTIX en continued by someone else that gets close using tabs but the colors and background are nowere near the real thing.
I am no programmer so I have no idea where to start making such a theme but am I the only one wishing such a theme showing up?
So vote here to show your interessent in such a theme to make people making theme's aware of starting / picking up such a project.

We have had enough long running threads that have ended up with nothing but flames in the end due to the fact that the original poster asked, people said "ok, i´ll so it", nothing happend, someone else say "i´ll do it instead" and suprise: Nada yet again.
It is a big task just to make the skin, then you must understand that it must be maintained and there are lots of skin changes done to XBMC.....
The thought is good, but the past have proven that nothing will come from it unless you, the poster takes things into your own hands.

What diff does it make if it stands 385 Yes and 0 No if there isn´t someone to actually make it!
The only reason i keept it open is to atleast give it the benefit of a dute that someone will take you up on the theme.
Why close it you wonder? Well, untill someone actually starts making the skin, bumping the thread with votes is only spamming the forum with nonsens.

Regarding this poll, i had a different idea for a 360 "theme", surely it will be easyer to do then to make a brand new skin as you'll have only to replace the gfx and make a new xpr file, take a look:

The skin needed a lot of gfx work and for this i teamed up with Britneyspears at the beginning, but for some reasons we decided to follow different directions so.... if you wish to start your own one or to continue devolping mine feel free to do whatever you want I really don't have time right now to work on the 360 skin, It's already a big business (for me) to keep updated The orbs.

Mmm that sounds really easy and looks already pretty sweet! I would love to help/try making a 360 skin, but I have so spare time atm =/. But the official xbox.com should provide you with enough pictures, now with the new website.

That one is indeed fine in the way it is being used only I wish the colorschemes and background on main could be changes more like the 360 theme. I am not a skinner and have no clue where to start so if someone could step up and change the 360 theme that allready is among us...

High res shots of the glass effects or video of it running would help alot so I can concept it better. Im planing on making the tabs be customisable colors using maybe themes or maybe switchs in the gui.

PS I dont have an xbox 360 and they arnt in my country so high res video or tabs changing etc and good pics of the glass effect on top. That way ill add a switch so you can run your own pics in slideshow under the glass x360 skin

PS some ideas ive toyed around with. So what you think about this stuff
1) No visible buttons only thumbpanels (if you press start or a key it would drop all buttons like white button does) so you can change stuff if you want but it doesnt clutter interface
2) Make a button for left and right that will jump panels eg right left triggers (but these are used for up/down scrolling) ill think about keymap a bit more
3) 3 way switch for panels a) Unsaturated greyscale
light pastel colors c) bright colors although colors would be the same you could vary the strenth to suit personal taste.

Here are some of the cleanest picture's i could get my hands on to date I uploaded to use. My friend was supposed to get one from a friend working at a Walmart, but choose not too, else i would've been able to get as many as i made. Same as me. I'm a manager at a Blockbuster, and had an oportunity to buy one, but didn't either. Too many problems with them right now. I'll wait til this 'mod' chip is really available. Hope this might be of use to you.

Get Over yourself, we aint Pimping anyone elses work, we are simple recreating, from scratch I might add, which is alot of god damn work, the beautifully simple Xbox 360 dash. I know its been tried before by several skinners, to horrendous results, but this time its being done by the best of the best, in a team. This 100% all created from scratch in the image of a true amazing GUI.
I have a thing for GUI's I love them, maybe I should become a FrontEnd developer for games and software.

Yes, we know how professional it is going to be, and how much time its going to take (youve told us 1000 times) but dont come on this site and start saying that people have made god awful attempts to make something......its an attempt, they tried, dont bash because someone tried and might have a life to spend with others rather than putting all of our efforts into a skin that will be replaced in the future (Gauranteed).
Most of us do things like this as a Hobby and to kill time, if we try to do something new and it doesnt work out, well then oh well thanks for the effort.
As for the X360 skin, it looks nice and professional, but it doesnt even come close to doing XBMC justice.
Open source is to create one thing and then have peoples opinions/modds to make it better and everyone happy. I dont think anyone here has ever said, heres my mod-now the skin is 100 times better and forget about the original creator.
If someone mods your skin....who really gives a shit, you know how much time you put in it, and we all know what you did as well.....but we also know what you didnt do/wont do....
All in all, you skin "Looks" awesome, but as many have said, if its "copying" what the x360 GUI can do, then big fricking deal, besides i am 98% sure x360 developers used XBMC for their ideas.......

Wont be for every one but it should roll up years of questions and experince and hand it over to newbes so they can enjoy the potention of the xbox in non tech, graphical nice (personalisable) piece of software, that is being made, a GUI to not be like xbox/pc software but as something bought from a shop that mum and your 7 year old daughter can pickup and use for exactly what they generally want to use it for. Its a whole package not a skin.....but the skin is big part of it.my rant.....ill supply all source and if people pick it peices no worries it will be there for all to use. Cheers

I have personally dev't a couple skins for some pc programs and helped with some xbmc skins, and it's not easy at all. And to spend months after months making one, and have one person spend 10-30minutes making a couple changes and re-releasing it getting credit even for it, isn't quite right. So i see both sides of the point.
Anyway, i can't wait to see the 360 skin come out. It's looking absolutely fantastic, and to Blackbolt, i hope things are going smoothly for you and all. Good luck with it, and we all are very much looking forward to it's release some day. Thank you for your contribution to the scene.
