When playing songs over the network (SMB or DAAP) there is always a pause between songs, despite the fact that there is a decent amount of caching going on. This can really damper the effect of a mix or album that is made to run all the way through. Judging by network activity, pretty much the entire current song is cached right at the beginning of the song and then played from memory, but the next song isn't cached until the previous one ends (hence the pause). Many players get around this by precaching a portion of the next song - is there any reason why xbmc can't do this? I mean if you have your music network cache at 2MB, then it should always have 2MB in memory regardless of the song boundary, I would think.
