im not sure if the xbr consoles have the dash launch/region free update but its pretty easy to apply, freeboot is region free.

yes you can play games from a usb drive.
yes i have consoles with freeboot and consoles with xbr, you can use flash360 to update/downgrade the nand.
ive sold around 200 consoles since early December, so far ive gotten about 25 back with 3rlod.
if the console is still working after about 90 days of use then yes i would say its alot more reliable then a stock 360.

Alright sweet. I'll buy a xenon in the next 24 hours unless my xbox decides to come to life again. I'm overheating it for the 3rd or 4th attempt and it's not looking very promising.

1. They come with either freeboot or XBReboot, probably freeboot though, since it has the latest kernel.
2. Xexmenu is just an app for ripping the games and loading xex's, so yes, you need Xexmenu.
3. He seems to fix them if they rrod again within 90 days.
That's all I can answer. I've been keeping up with grim for months, trying to find the best seller for Jtag 360's, and he seems to be the best.

Certain resistors being removed? Linking wires etc? In the end i'm only really looking to play games off the HDD and have the option of running the risk of playing online if I wanted to. If I get banned I don't care, I rarely use multiplayer but i'd rather have the option.
But again I don't want the fuckin' thing to get bricked, my HDD got corrupted in that previous wave of bans and seeing as my old xbox died I have no way of getting my old save games/profiles off it (that I know of).

im not selling any jaspers right now.
if you want to get onlive at all then you should go with a firmware modded console, jtag'ed consoles only last 4hrs on live.

theres currently no way to be live safe with a jtag.
you could disable the jtag, flash the original nand and update but then you wouldn't have a jtaged console.

no i dont have any 203watt psu's for sale (which is what a xenon requires).
ya its pretty easy to update freeboot if you have the original nand and cpu key which i can provide.
no, you can run freestyle/xexmenu from a disk and games from external hdd, you will need a 360 hdd or memory card for your profile, game saves, xbla stuff, etc.

have working dvd drives (but should mainly be used for single layer disks).

i got a jasper to glitch, so if i can do the same to another and a falcon this will be the final build of the phat RGH pcb.
it has everything you need (diodes, resistors, cap), i took out the vreg (adds 1 wire and drops your price $5), there are also points to flash the cpld (for updating).
now i just need to get the slim rgh working so i can finish the slim rgh pcb.

it is wildly unstable, im going to try a few different things to make it more stable but i suspect its a problem more with the cpld software and its interaction with the console, so for now im going to wait on the pcb's until either i can make it a lot more stable or another release of the cpld code that is more stable comes out.

ive been messing around with the slim version and i could swear i had one working (dident boot very fast) but currently i cant get any of the 5 trinity's i have to boot with it (tried installing a few different ways and at different capacitor values)...when i spent the 3+ months trying to get boot times reasonable i had them down to about 5-20sec by installing it closest to the cpu_rst point as i could and using around 340pf...i think the only thing that has really changed is the size of the ground plate.
if you want to see if you can get them working i can send you some.
p.s. the usb spi works great...i just need to order some more pic's so i can build them and i need different transistors for Medusa.

those are 2x 80gb wd sata drives, there not really xbox related but kinda since you can install them in a homebrew 360.

ya but i already sold the slim case and most things with it, still have a few imu's (internal memory unit) and iwa's (internal wifi adapter).
i do have a hdd caddy in another console that i dont need but it will be a few days before i have time to take it apart.

Yes it can be used on the slim without anything special. Just use the same spots as you would on the phat. I have the same one I bought from grim years ago soldered in my slim at all times that way I dont have to open the case up incase of a bad flash and it works great.
