Title: Chipped Xbox No Dvd, Prepare Harddrive?

I have a xbox with a modchip installed, I'm able to boot the modchip Bios logo.

However the harddrive is completely empty(No Data on it), is there a way to put in Evolutionx or XBMC to the harddrive?
It does not need to be locked harddrive as I have modchip in console.

Also I don't have working DVD drive  biggrin.gif

Maybe XboxHDM 2.2 can solve my problems?
Not sure how complicated it could be?

HeXEn, burned to DVD-R at 4x or slower. Install the new hard drive, boot with HeXEn in the DVD drive, select option 3.5.3 or 3.5.4, depending on where you are in the world.

What kind of hard drive is it, and what computer hardware do you have at your disposal?

I have couple of IDE harddrives, I think one is 80GB WD, 300GB Seagate.
The harddrives do not have any Data on them.
I have a VT6421A silicon image card (2sata + 1 IDE).

So can I use xboxhdm to prepare one of the harddrives with all necessary files and install Evolutionx or XBMC?

I might borrow a modified xbox, not sure if it's chipped or softmodded, maybe unlock a chipped xbox then use xboxhdm to transfer those system files C:/ and E:/ files to my Xbox?

You don't need to unlock the drive on a modded Xbox to get access to the files - just use FTP. However, if you are going to borrow an Xbox then simply borrow the DVD drive and use HeXEn to build the new disk.

Otherwise read the thread on xboxhdm 2.2 - it's far better than making up your own method from scratch....
