Title: Toasted Gpu
Post by: shambles1980 on January 27, 2013, 11:09:00 AM
you will probably better off geting the eeprom from the board (use an eeprom reader)
atleast you can get power to that with a toasted gpu.. but theres no telling how farther the boot process would go with a dead gpu. probably wouldnt ever get to unlocking the hard disk. and if it did it would be a nightmare trying to hotswap..

and how do you know the gpu is toast?

just deduction

I was playing with the psu but I forgot to disconnect it before...
result: blue spark in the psu, the tv was flashing and now when i power it on all I get on the screen is white and black strips
if you think that can be somthing else just tell me
I still can access to my hdd using hdddriver

thank you very much for your advice
