Exactly. CPU upgrades are possible but as mentioned only one member on this forum had the equipment and skill to preform them. If you search 1 Ghz xbox you'll probably be able to find him but I don't know if he's still active on the forum. RAM upgrades are possible but still fairly difficult. You might be able to find loose RAM chips but most likely you'll have to desolder them from a broken motherboard. I think only 1.0-1.4 xboxs have the solder points for extra RAM but I'm not 100% sure. Most people don't have a problem with the stock fan/heatsink but if you need extra cooling or are building a slim xbox a lot of people have installed vantec Iceberq Pro 4 heatsinks
