Someone gave me a v1.6 motherboard that is fragged due to bad solder skills. (See picture attached)
Anyway, As a 1.6 board it is ment to have a little board soldered in place before the pin headers, If I remove the pins and install the little board over the badly damaged circuitry will it fix it?

If that is a 1.6 xbox, it looks like the LPC has not been rebuilt. Follow this diagram for rebuilding your LPC, then check back with us if it still doesn't work

Yea thats what I said, I forgot the name of it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) They didnt add it, My soldering skills arn't to great either, so im wondering if its worth removing from the board or leave it as scrap.

It doesn't look that bad to me, but it is a fuzzy picture.
Only you can decide if you can fix it. If that rebuild board will fix it depends on what is broken. Use your brain and maybe a continuity check to see what is broken and what the LPC rebuild connects.
Is it worth your time? You should be able to pick up a used Xbox for $30 or less nowdays.
