Title: Partitions Named Like: Mar 30 1190:26 C
Post by: mgrant on October 30, 2010, 01:05:00 PM
I formatted my new disk with Auto Installer Deluxe.  It seems to work, but when I ftp into the box now, the partitions are named oddly like this:

Mar 30 1190:26 C
Mar 30 1190:26 E
Mar 30 1190:26 F
Mar 30 1190:26 X
Mar 30 1190:26 Y
Mar 30 1190:26 Z

And, in FileZilla, if I try to double-click on one of these folders, I get an error "Failed to retrieve directory listing".  However, if I manually type in /C into the 'Remote site' field to go directly to a path, it works fine, I get the C drive.  I can then drag stuff to this folder.

What's going on here?  It's as if when the drive was formatted, it did something funny to the directory structure.  Is it safe to rename these folders back to just a single drive letter?

How is your Xbox modded? If chipped / flashed, which BIOS?

How big is the disk?

I have both Evox M7 and Xecuter2 5035 firmwares, but mostly use Xecuter2 as you rightly stated in your other reply to me that M7 is old.

It's a 250gig disk (which is fully used now thanks to you!)

Anyone have any ideas?

This is very strange and I've not seen many people with this problem.

This is very likely a fault with the FTP server, that is to say, the dashboard you're running on your console.
