so i heard there is microphone support in xbmc anyone know if i can get karaoke dvds in mpg format and microphone to work at the same time

I doubt karaoke dvds will work, but they would with the MS music mixer. xbmc supports audio file + .CDG files.

And only xbox mics will work with this (i believe the xblive headset and the music mixer mic)

if i use the regular xbox music mixer mic ... I have no problems ... but xbmc Freezes in middle of songs if i use the xbox communicator.
I'm useing the latest builds on a xbox 1.0 ntsc box.
I kept updating my xbmc builds ...but i finally plugged the regular mic in and no freezing issues.
Anyone else having freezing issues useing communcator?

i have been useing the xbox mixer mic with no problems ...since I noticed the Freezing useing the communicator.
I went 2 days without it freezing useing mic.... whereas when I used the communicator I could play 2 or 3 songs and get freeze... i would delete cache and udata, and tdata files and tryed 3 or 4 builds... weird.
 
Hopefully more people will share how it freezes on them too... so the issue can be addressed and fixed.

Again my xbox is:
1.0 NTSC xbox with 4983.06 bios useing lastest  cvs builds .... 3.18.05 etc

Communicator Freeze on Karaokie
Mixer Mic Works no problems
Viusalizsation :fountain
Background Trasparency : 0
a/v delay: -0.40
port o voice:     voice mask none

I have the mic enabled but how do I get it to work.  I turn it on plug it in and I can't get my voice to go through.  Do you have to go to a certian screen or have the cdg file running?

in fact 0,1,2,3, so you can have 4 mics in use if you want. and make each voice have a different voice mask (30 of them)

All I did was enable it and then you have to be playing a song.

I get a huge delay (well, about 200-300 ms) when using the XBOX Communicator mic.  It's very distracting and makes the voice timing WAY off from the music.  This happens even without voice masking.

Anybody else get this?  Is there a setting I can change?

Very strange - I can get my Music Mixer mic to work in MM & Karaoke Revolution, but get no sound in XBMC (3/21/05 build).

I have enabled the mic on port 1 and plugged it in, but I get nothing...

Very strange...

Any other ideas of things to check?
