free for those that can help...

The error means the a dashboard file is missing, boot off the slayer disk or set FTP up on the chip and check you files. I would also check your chip and make sure is making good contact...

This happened to me last night try a diffrent BIOS like M7, is you box an older one?
-
if you can't get the boot disk to work then maybe you can upgrade to os2.0 without using the hdd(if you can burn it to a disk instead of putting it on the hdd and doing the os upgrade) because it has a built in ftp server(i think?) I'm not 100% sure thought(I'm still on OS1.1)

Hi..
Ive tried M7 and a few different bios`s, i have put in another xenium loaded with OS2 and i`ll ftp my working dash from my other xbox to this one and see what happens, if that fails i`ll have to use the copy or back wizard in xenium OS as a last resort....

You are right OS2 does have a built in FTP server, it's slow but works...
-
Yep it does, and is no good in this situtaion...
-
how did you install the chip? solderless or solder
-
try formatting c partition
-
Hi,
I have installed it with the solderless adaptor, i have done a few of these installs for other ppl, and they have been perfect, like i said, the problem i have is that when the bios loads it won`t load slayers from the dvd-rom , it goes straight into `error 13` and then frags, so im thinking it can`t be a hard drive problem [though the error says so] because, when you fit new retail drive it has nothing on it, and it loads slayers from the dvd-rom....so this one has me stumped.....

Send it to me and i'll fix it..
For cheap...

Well...it looks like i have solved it, i was using a 40GIG wdc, just for an experiment i put in the original OEM drive that i had configurered with Evox dash, and guess what...it loaded up perfect, how strange is that....so it must have been the hhd, but it still puzzles me why slayers would not load...unless the hard drive has got bad sector error or is just F@#ked - now to try another hard drive......
thanx for the replies
Pete
p.s. you can have this for helping  l8rzz
