hey, im trying to hotswap my xbox hard drive, my bios see's it, windows detects and installs it but the xbox hd reader programs i have tried give me nothing but errors, hdddriver says i have files missing, fat xplorer says there is no drive and xboxhdm freezes, could somebody please help me?

i suggest you look into using xboxhdm to mess around with the hard drive. also, look in daddyj's sig for a real good tutorial on hotswapping

when you used xboxhdm, it's possible you made a bad burn. i think that could cause a freeze. another problem could be that you're not hotswapping right, a locked drive could cause a lot of problems. there's also a thread in xbe exploits called "xboxhdm for dummies" with a lot of good info into that program.
you should really read daddyj's hotswapping tutorial regardless of what you use to edit the drive, it has a ton of tips and tricks for getting it to work. other than that i'm not really sure...
