well i got a psp and the front faceplate is scuffed and scratched up, i want to sand it down, which is no problem but how do i sand the clear part and keep it clear but get some small scratches out
-
lol dont sand it sanding = sractching/grinding down on something to make it smoth. Your psp is going to look like shit if you sand it. To remove starches i would use something like toothpaste, or brasso.

You can also try Carnuba Car Wax. Try it first on a scratched cd to see if it will take effect properly. Also look for those Eyeglass scratch repair kits. You want something to fill in those scratches rather than make new ones.
You can always return it to walmart without a receipt for an exchange.
