Ive just ordered a copy of hero with jet li dvd the subtitled version has anyone seen the subtitled version or the one currently in the cinemas if so what do you think?

depends on your taste. i think its pure crap.  many love it.  i thought crouching tiger was also crap.  Clearly, it was loved by many.  i guess the whole "fight while flying" idea ruins it for me.  its probably good if you can get past that.

Yeah, the movie was good. After awhile though, the movie gets very confusing, so you have to pay attention to what's going on. Otherwise, you may get extremely confused.

the version available now is good, but the music is different than the one in theaters and some of the effects are a little bit changed here and there. Beyond that it's the same exact movie. Really good flick, i highly recommend it.

great movie, jet li did a great job in HERO, he finally chose a movie that didn't involve Rappers.

Just saw "Cradle 2 the Grave" on Saturday, what a waste of time...
Hero looks great, it'll prolly be my next DVD purchase.

cradle 2 the grave had some decent parts, i'm just getting tired, of Jet li + hip hop,

Hero was a great career movie for Jet Li,
"Danny the Dog" looks really good, i think they changed the name, but it looks like a serious drama/action movie.

artisticly... Hero is amazing.  In reality, no one can fly or use water to stab you (i think i saw a scene where someone got stabbed with water).  I don't care how many hits of LSD or w/e ur drug of choice is... that whole flying bullshit is a little too much.  If u can overlook that... its a really good movie

and i agree with the whole hip hop thing... its old.. move on Mr. Li

I still think his best english movie is Kiss of the Dragon

I recieved my hero dvd last week. awesome I love the fight scenes, story, acting its great. I got the extended version i wouldt recomend it to anyone who liked crouching tiger. I can see why quentin brought it to america.
