I just want to share my recent PM3 skin modification, consisted
in just replace icons and screen backgrounds. Nothing else
was touched - everything fits my taste now.
If you guys want some of the icons, or even my
textures.xpr please let me know!

Lookin really really nice! I would like to get my hands on those music genre icons. I bet they would look very sweet using xTV.

Why have the Thumbnails of the Pictures (example: the Cat) a so good quality ?
have you a other Thumbnail resolution ?

Well dude,
I don't see any special quality on my thumbnails!
I just set up my XBMC, replaced the textures.xpr with
my own and everything else was left intended accordingly
to the developers of the software.
Maybe you can notice the low resolution of the thumbnails
because you run you system on a high definition television?
Mine is a Samsung CRT SlimFit running un 480i with
component cables. In my screen everything looks awesome perfect.
Other thing - are you using flicker filter on XBMC? Maybe your flicker
filter is off?
I don't know...

A bit off topic but I was successfully able to make a button on the home screen that leads to My pictures (I edited the original button to be My Games)... the new pictures button is to the right of the settings and filemanager button. However, I can not get the square button to show (that is usually to the left) for this new button. The best I can do is to get the "homebutton-small" to be rendered instead. Any ideas?

Thanks for your kind words. I am sending you now a PM with the URL
to get the TEXTURES.XPR and my folders, in layered PSD files, of course.
You can get many many many interesting icons who can be used to XBMC mod here:

The icons are free for PERSONAL/DESKTOP use.
Take a time browsing their huge collection and for sure you will see what I mean.

About your home screen mod, I did not have the time yet to work
on the XML, so I don't have any ideas to help. Matter of fact I search
for ideas to disable the opening animation who appears right
after the SPLASH.PNG screen. I don't like much the two bars
who opens vertically.

Some people have told me that the animation
was inside HOME.XML, and since I did not have the time
to really go hunting it, your message came by the right time.
Just inspected the STARTUP.XML and things are there!
