Title: I Need Help To Run Gta Sa From My Hard Drive!

Hello everyone. I bought a copy of GTA SA, and i tried to run the game from the dvd drive, as usual. But, my Xbox is kinda old, and my dvd drive is tired, so the game doens´t run as smooth as i wanted to. So I thought about copying it into my hard drive. I have Evox installed, and I used the dvd2xbox, and the program copied the game perfectly. However, when I try to run the game from the HD, the game starts loading - "your selection is loading" - and then comes back to the previous screen. I talked to a buddy and he said I need a patch to run the game from the Hd. WHERE CAN I FIND IT????????

I thin you just need to make sure in your dasboards settings tht IGR (in game reset) is sitched off in all th places it comes up, then you'll have no problem....it worked for me anyway.....

As far as I know, IGR is off. But I´ll check it out anyway. Besides in the system settings, where else can I see if IGR is off?

well if your dvd drive is "old"  dvd2xbox may have not copied all the data or may have corrupted the data making the game unplayable from the hdd.
My suggestion is to either borrow a dvd drive from a friend temporarily to copy it over (make a backup on your pc)  or look for a new dvd drive.  Also there are some tutorials for improving the drive you have now on XS

Hey, it worked! I turned off IGR and TSR and, I don´t know how, it worked! Now the game runs smoothly from the hdd. Why the hell does this happen only when they´re turned off?
