Title: Use Pc Version Gta3 Saves On Xbox Version?

would it be possible to use the pc version saves from gta3 on the xbox? i had the pc version awhile back when it came out and now i have an xbox. the pc saves are titled "GTA3sf1.b", GTA3sf2.b, etc. how would i go about editing/transferring them to my xbox?

i think they will work. On your xbox drive goto E:\udata\545300f (something like that can't remember the last folder). Inside this folder there will be other folders which are your vc saves. Overwrite one of the .b files in those folders, (backup your saves first).

Edit: just realized that folder is for gta:vc, i don;t know the one of gta3, so you'll haev to find out urself

i played a mission on the xbox and saved it. then i used xbox save manager to pull the gta3 save off the xbox to the pc and then extracted the zip file that it was saved as. then under the udata folder and then two more subfolders was a file "data.b". noticing the ".b" extension (the same one used for the pc save file), i opened the file in a text editor and compared to the pc version. this file is very similar to if not exactly the same as the pc save file. i replaced the xbox version with the pc file. and then edited savemeta.xbx and gameid.ini using a texteditor to reflect the correct mission names (e.g "luigi's girls" was changed to "big'n'veiny") in gta. however when i ported it over to the xbox, the game couldn't load the save file.

can anyone offer any help?
what do all those xbe files do? how can i edit them?

I would have expected that to have worked, unless you screwed up something editing the .xbx files. I think it works for VC that way, so i can't help you dude, sorry.

well i initially tried to add by simply replacing the data.b file. when that didnt work, i tried to edit the other information. i take it that you have successful used a pc save for xbox gtavc?

It isnt supposed to work, the main.scm is different.
