Title: Vc Car Mod Problem

I have just recently started modding gta vice city and have about 2 or 3 mods working but I haven't figured out my latest problem yet.
The game I am working with is the NTSC version of Grand theft auto Vice City
I am trying to replace one of the stock vehicles with one originally designed for the pc version.

my guess is it could be something with textures....?

When I load the game, it launches successfully but when I find the desired car it appears something is missing.... (refer to photo below)

the original car is the sabre turbo.
the new car (if it matters) is a 70 z28 camaro

things I have done:
I compressed the txd file with txd workshop 3

converted the txd file to xbox with RW Analyze 0.4 BETA

img tool 1.3 used to edit img files


any help is appreciated

UPDATE: I forgot to mention in the last post that I have DMagic1 Wheel Mod v3.0 installed.

I have been messing around with some more cars and been having the same problem with certain cars.  However I have been able to see a change in handling, acceleration, and car colors but nothing else.  I have posted another photo below:

don't worry about it.  i seem to answer a lot more questions, then ask.  As a matter of fact, this is my first thread I've ever made  :blink:
I would have searched this one out like everything else but most of the material I need is one ninjahacker's forums.  They recently got shutdown  :(
anyway I'll send you a pm with some help in a minute or two


as for everyone else, I REALLY need some help, this car is way to boring to look at as it is now    :lol:

UPDATE:
well its been a while.  After a couple hours of staring at the computer screen I figured out what was wrong.  For reference I will post it here for anyone with a similar problem.  I am unsure how long I can keep the screenshots up though...

There was a cobination of problems that caused this but the two biggest were the following:
1.  I had hit compress all images (which I later learned was a big no no)
solution: I compressed each image indivually.
2. Due to previous compression I had a corrupt file
solution: I downloaded a fresh copy of the car mod.

now it runs great and I couldn't be happier.
If anyone is having trouble with car mods for vice city, pm me and I can try to help you
