Title: Bbc Script / Real Media Problem
Post by: xpom on June 11, 2005, 07:00:00 AM
If I run the scripts xbbc or ooba (and try and use the bbc streams), they don't seem to work, they enumerate and let me select the show I want, but it never loads

the xbmc log file says something like the following for both scripts

"11-06-2005 22:16:02 ERROR cmplayer::openfile() rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/r1moyles_fri.ra failed"

It looks to me like I have no Real Audio support

do I need to do something extra to support real audio, some extra codec or something?

If so where do I get it & where do I put it?

I did find one bbc stream that was a .asx stream that worked fine, so I'm sure the scripts work OK, it's just my config.

I'm on xbmc cvs version "XBMC_MAG_2005-05-23"

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

cheers  :beer:

Did you ever get an answer to this issue? I'm having the same problem and can't find any solution....

Works fine for me with a 2006 t3ch build. Maybe RA support only came in with later builds.
