Ok - Here it goes:
Xbox v1.4
Maxtor 250 gig Hdd
Xenium Ice Solderless
Xecuter2 with Bios Build 2.01
XBMC v1.1 (Build 2.14.2005)
Skins: Project Mayhem, Hifi (Both look great)
PROBLEM: No Sound when a soundtrack is selected from the "Music" category....
I'm also unable to change the Audio option to Stero or Dolby Surround.
The only option is Analog, but it has the arrows telling you that you can change it. The original XBOX dashboard has been set to Mono, Stero, and Dolby. Still no sound when I try to play a mp3 from the xbox hdd in the "Music" category.
I do have sound when I put a music cd in the Xbox Drive and also when I play games.
I've removed the TDATA\0face008 file and still no change.
It has to be a simply setting - My head is all foggy now.
Can in install "ftp" a program to my Xbox to play all my mp3's???
Here's the kicker - Everything was great on an old October 2004 build. I really dont want to go back to a previous version. There has to be a way.
Thanks in advance

I had this problem on a box a few months ago it had been working fine and then it stopped playing all mp3 files, I just reloaded xbmc onto the box again and that solved the problem

OK - i finally fixed it. After loading multiple XBMC builds and messing with the xml file I did it. It was the "mplayer" folder in the XBMC folder. It was somehow corrupt. I copied the same "mplayer" folder from a Jan 5, 2005 XBMC Build and WWoooooo Hooooo!! I have sound coming out of everything.
Thanks for all the help. :jester:
