TheFallen93 released HvxBootOS v1.0 for Xbox360 Dev Kits:

This is a simple app that will allow you to boot into xell from newer devkit kernels without the need to write anything to flash. Simply put the HvxBootOS folder on your dev's hdd and run the xex. It will load xell.bin from the folder and execute it. With this you can boot into a linux live cd and from there do what ever you want. I hope someone will find this useful, because it's pretty useless to me.

Auto boot files:
I've included two files, dashboard-hdd.xbx and dashboard-usb.xbx. Choose one and rename it to dashboard.xbx and stick it in flash. This will make the console boot into HvxBootOS instead of xshell when you turn your console on. This way you can install linux to the hdd and have a fully loaded linux box. To boot into xshell with the launch file installed, simply hold the Y button while the console boots.

Boot paths:
dashboard-hdd.xbx -> \Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\DEVKIT\HvxBootOS\HvxBootOS-hdd.xex
dashboard-usb.xbx -> \Device\Mass0\HvxBootOS\HvxBootOS-usb.xex

MS Xbox private keys are kept far better then sony keys, so no math trick will give them to us. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

Btw, Can I run HvxBootOS from my jtag xbox?

No but you could use xell-launch.

this app looks nice , if some one could polish it a little more so it can run on the hdd of ordinary xbox's it will be an awesome tool to retrieve lost drive key ,it will make the dream of thousands of people come true (like me)
since the hdd of the xbox is the only media that you can use to run demos and apps when you loose your drive key , then its the best hole that we can get to run tools to dump cpu key

please thefallen93 , take it seriously and try it , it will be a great tool , in fact one of the greatest tools ever

It would have to be signed with Microsoft's private key...

For a dev kit do you still work out the cpu key the same as you have to for a jtag ???? because if so,

CPU KEY : F1A74BB5546DE99C403168D91CBBC6A7  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Hey their it is smile.gif  ..... Since you didn't put any teenage drama in your main post i'll thank you for this one ... I already had my 1bl CPU key etc, so I had no use for HVxdump. Good Work!

 He's in court for finding and releasing a way to get the private key. It's really bad for Sony, think about it shit works on all PS3s now, no need to have an unsigned code hack just sign the code and your good to go. It doesn't even matter what happens to them, i don't know that Sony can fix that problem and the key is out their so the damage is done, regardless of the case outcome.
