I already installed 2.03 yesterday, the kinect games make freestyle dash reboot. I just extract the Kinect .iso to a folder on the hdd1\games\<game> and it goes to a black screen then freestyle comes back. They work when burned to an ixtreme LT disc, will this fix that issue?

Probably does because I don't have dash launch installed and Kinect games work just fine for me installed on the HDD completely.

Confirming this fixed the reboot to dash issue for kinect games.

You no longer have to hold RB to launch a kinect game.

What are the patches for in the files folder of the installer? I applied them to my Zepher and it wouldnt work after. So i had to reflash the nand with a backup.

Maybe someone else can confirm this:

I've been using xlink for awhile now, and have been using the method of having kxam.patch on hdd1. Now that I've updated to dashlaunch v2.04, the only way ive been able to connect to anyone on xlink is by having to set ping patch = true in the launch.ini. I never had to do this before (just put kxam.patch on the hard drive, never changed the ini), but after testing it a few times, the conclusion I have come to, is that something has changed. Can anyone else verify this?

nevermind, i got the answer from cory over at xbh. Kxam.patch isn't coded for the new dash so it's just easier to change the ini settings.

The patches are identical to the ones in fbBuild 0.1, it shouldn't be asking to update them at all. If it is, is it detecting the right console model?

installer source:
CODE
"Freeboot patches included for %s system are not installed"

it gives you the option to read, verify and skip if it's looking wrong...

quick question folks... im on the new 12166 dash and i ran the dashlaunch 2.04 update via usb stick, but im not getting any results... i know i need to put my edited launch.ini somewhere on the system but im not sure where... e.g. on the root of my internal hdd or in the freestyle dash folder on my USB drive...  the readme says "place the launch.ini file where you would like it"... could someone tell me where id like it? hehe

In previous versions, I put the launch.ini and launch.xex on the root of my external USB drive.

Ok i'll give that a try..

hmmm... I think I need to put the edited launch.ini file in my thumb drive along with the dash launch files and then try installing it again from xexmenu... hopefully it will install dashlaunch and the ini settings...   nothing like trial by fire!

Makes sense then becasue my Jtag is one of those Zephyrs repaired by MS that you have to flash the Falcon freeboot image to it for it to work.

Edit: Just updated dashlauch ini and it says patches up to date so you are definately right that the patches are included in fbBuild 0.1 becasue i skipped that step lol.

AmyGrrl: using exit option from XBLA should take you back to the arcade menu in NXE as it's a "special" exit like using miniblade to get to system settings. Not really a bug but I guess I can pass along the idea as a future option.
