What does  hfs stand for.
Does it has anything to do with formatting a hdd.
Can I format my usb drive while in xexmenu 1.1 or through the dash?
My drive is a 1tb drive do xexmenu 1.1 support a drive that big?

Hierarchical File System (by Apple).
Being a file system, yes. It's supported by the 360.
No.
Yes.

Lots of questions in just two lines!

HFS+ is a file system type developed by apple. You can't format the usb drive in NXE.
HFS+ let's you store files larger than 4gb, but some games are reported to run laggy from HFS+ formatted drives. There should be no problem with 1TB or larger drives.

use partition manager (home edition its free use google)

it will work .. don't use windows formatting.

I thought GOD (Game on Demand) was used only from NXE dashboard so that means it would only look at your attached xbox 360 hard drive and not a USB hard drive.  Am I wrong here?

Do I have to fat32 format it? cause im not getting 3/4 of the 1tb when i fat32 it, just 100 gigs.

Read what people are writing to you.  your answers have already been answered.

"use partition manager (home edition its free use google)"

Make sure you only have one partition on that drive before formatting using partition manager home edition. Google it.

"h2format <- google, pretty easy"

Google h2format and use it to format your drive to Apple's HFS file system.  You will get all of your drive and the ability to store files greater than the 4somethign gigabyte file system limit of FAT32.

Some of the dashes allow you to specify paths like usb:\games
so I assume you can do that.
perhaps someone will let us know if it's possible.
