Every shortcut I made is working perfectely (one for XeXMenu 1.1, some for my Games), but with this, my Xbox is booting back to the NXE-Dash after starting the shortcut in my Game-Library.
It's loading, but booting back.
What's cause of this problem? - I posted it right before in another thread, but I wasn't able to find a solution for fixing this.
I hope that someone is able to help me, a shortcut of FreeDash 1.03 would be awesome!

1 question if some one can please is do i need to solder or add wires to my xbox to aloow this to happen n does it need to have an on board memory built to the motherboard or can i install DLC to the hard drive

the preview.wmv support is great, would be cool to replace one of the two screenshots that appears when fo a game is selected and play the preview.wmv there.
another cool feature would be fast toggle between games/xbla/homebrew/emulators with LT and RT for example

*Guys, I'm trying to make this dash into a all games kiosk dash, but I'm having issues with changes in the .xui files.
I can see that most of these are xml but none of my changes work.
What I want to do is make all 4 of those tabs like this:
SHOOTERS ---- ADVENTURE AND RPG --- SPORTS AND RACING --- XBOX LIVE ARCADE
Run from: hdd1:\games\shooters\; hdd1:\games\adventure and rpg\; hdd1:\games\sports and racing\; XBLA where they run from of course.
This way, when I load the dash, I will have game genres. I don't have emulators, nor homebrew on 1 of my xbox, so these icons become useless for this. Of course, on my other xbox I have it packed with homebrew and emulators and this dash is fine.... well, it needs GOD support

id like to know also, everything went fine, downloaded all the images etc... then it asked to reboot, said yes and nothing happened. so i rebooted it myself and no artwork shows up...

I need to try another method : replace the tabs texture and make transparent thumbnails (and so add another layer for the glossy effect)
i would like to animate them a little bit too (sliding effect or things like that but it seems to be done with a part of prog and i'm not able to do it)
A good thing would be to talk about it with Axc97c to know what can be done and what can't .
But i'm not the only skinner and there are already a lot of possibilities ! ! !

You don't have any idea what you are talking about. Games installed with NXE and patched to GOD is very effective and takes minimum space on the HDD.

I don't know if it's possible to make a 1080p version.
I have used the original background size so i need to check if it work with a 1920*1080 one .
(and if yes i need to do it again because if i just resize it it will be useless)

This is how i did it.
1/ Put it somewhere on your usb drive and ensure all your games are in Games folder and XBLA games are in a Content folder on the root of the usb drive.
2/ Plug into your 360 and run XexMenu or XexLoader
3/ Launch the Freestyle Dash from within Xexmenu, etc.
4/ It will ask you whether you want to save config data on internal hdd or usb drive, select usb drive.
5/ After its initial configuration, turn the 360 off and unplug the drive and plug into your pc and run the fsdindexer program thats included making sure that you specify the usb drive that has your games as the target.
- Alternatively you could use the program to ftp into your xbox while freestyle dash is running, assuming ofcourse you have configured it for network and have it plugged in.
6/ Hit Save content and close the fsdindexer and plug your usb drive back into your 360.
7/ Launch the freestyle dash via xexmenu or whatever and it should be running with all the gameinfo included.

1. extract xbox 360 dashboard folder to desktop or hdd/usb drive and rename freestyledash.xex to default.xex
2.run quickboot hit scan local,select xbox 360 dashboard folder
3.add the location of were ur going to run it from.
example is its \APPLICATIONS\XBOX 360 Dashboard\. if your running from usb or hard drive scan it and do nothing to it under quickboot. upload with ftp and enjoy running it from dash.No more running it thru xexmenu.

I have fixed this in the source and mine works now. It seems he was playing with Video stuff.

Yes working great for me so far (only tried clicking a couple)
I made a demo container with quickbook 2 but it still doesn't show up in "Recent Games" tab. I have to click on "Collections" tab to access it. Only Xexmenu shows up in "Recent Games".

i had that problem, i had to move xexmenu to my mu to get freestyle dash to show in recent list, but now the xexmenu doesnt show in the recent list lol

and nxe to god just makes false data to replace the missing info not ripped into nxe???
im trying to understand how this is better than extracting the image into folders and having it all external usb through freestlye because to me ripping the games entirety seems better for many reasons
not once have i experienced any slow downs in freestlye but i def have with nxe to god mk vs dc sometimes it plays in slow motion when things start fragging the framerate tried two boxes differet hdd it just seems internal nxe to god converts suck

No, NXE rips the entire game, but they're flagged as a different container so you can't play them without a disc. You can patch them on your hdd and they'll play fine.

also me and my friend have played through army of two:40th day now on chapter 6 and we've unlocked alot of new guns etc,well i loaded it for the first time through this dash and now all are guns are locked even though we are using our saved game,entered out of it and booted up with xexmenu like normal and guns were back

Same thing is happening with Dragon Age. If I go through XEXmenu it will use my last save. In freestyle its a totally different save file.

i'd like a integrated mp3 player, integrated video player (this in a far future...), sounds when we move around on the dash (clicks, beeps, etc.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)), background video support, a way to connect to internet, but not to xbox live, so we could get rss news, syncronice things, using online games databases, and a lot of awesome things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
so...this will be the definitve nxe replacement, thats i think (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

sorry if this has been asked b4 but is there anyway to make this default dashboard ie it runs automatically from booting up the console?
also in regards to the post regarding bioshock screens etc,you should have the live version of this dash installed on hd but also have the xex version on your pc to run fsdindexer,open up the contentxml and paste the code in and save it,then run fsdindexer,problem solved

You have to get the Xbox XDK Leak it's available around on the net. Also you have to have visual studios 2005 SP1 installed. Then you can compile.
If i knew hot to upload to xbins i would upload the fixed version. Sadly i don't know how..

The only way i have found to autoboot is to use usbloader burned to a DVD and turn on auto start game disk. Then when i am in a game and want to go back i open the Dash menu and go to play game from disk.

To answer your questions, the "Media" content for each game is added by the FSIndexer. You run it on a PC that has network access to your xbox. This will add the pictures and boxart for each game.
As for arcades they are "safe" to play as long as they are played offline.
If you go on Xbox Live you will be banned.
If you wish to enable internet access to your xbox and still keep it off xbox live go into systems settings under family settings and disable xbox live.
As for banning, there is a chance it will corrupt your drive other than that, it just means you can't go on xbox live...
