We need a way to jump right into something like this on boot.
Sort of like an auto start for an xex on the HD on power up.
Would be awesome to be able to ditch NXE.

make a team, so you all can share code and thoughts/ideas
and release a all-in-one thing?

Have you seen 360Menu or Kiosk 2.1 yet?
They pretty much mimick the NXE all the way.
Man the scene is hoppin right now! I love this phase of homebrew! Daily releases when stuff is still new and unthought of.

Agreed, kind of like the iPhone/iPod touch scene. Don't get me wrong all the new homebrew is great but I wouldn't mind changing the color of the NXE squares if you will. Green get's tiring really fast these days.

I agree, NXE is perfect as a frontend just needs getting rid of some xblive windows to make cleaner, and we have xexmenu for general editting. On xbox1 I always used the hacked dashboard that looked like the official dash, someone remembers the name of it?
btw great work by Ski-lleR. I'll have a look into it and trying extract it as a xex for testing

I like this Dash as It is and there isn't anything better out there. I think that improving this dash, it could become the next UnleashX for the 360.
I really like to see more stuff like:
- Main Menu seleccion support (a config file that we can configure and build to only show what we want it to be like.
- Skinning support similar to UnleashX (Enough Said)
- FTP File browser (conect to another 360 via network, removing the need of a computer to transfer files between them.
- Simple video preview support ( *drools* )
- Scripting support (We can bulid our own installer discs and by the press of a button, have it install various applications via batch installs, etc.)
- Child Safe locks (maybe with an edited config file that will only allow us to choose game to run)
I can add many more, but I'm not coding this and it might be a little too complex.

And I've got nothing against that whatsoever.... XBMC is what brought me to the Xbox homebrew scene for it's ease of use. My Falcon JTAG is pending, as soon as something similar to XBMC is released.

Just one thing, since some text are dynamic, in the file browser, the text of the first item in contextual menu change according to specific file action. So, if you see "Définir comme dossier jeux" (for folder), it's for add the folder to the scan list
And different language support is on the work for the final.

I found something wrong with the ftp server. It seems to disconnect after a large number of files are transferred or something. You have to restart the program to get it working again...
Well, at least this app does not hold the gpu chip hostage. After an hour of ftp transfer i launch xexmenu to check temps and my falcon has the gpu at ~58. In 60 seconds xexmenu gets it at 71.
A stable and ultrafast FTP server is the most important thing at this time IMHO. The teams behing the few apps that have ftp support should work together on sharing the good stuf!

Yes, of course I'd like to see it in German, Italian, Spanish AND French, but this should be optional. English would be good enough for about 90% of the modders.

no, jesus please no. All of these "OSX and Windows 7" skins look half-assed.
Plus these OSes were not meant to be operated with a joystick. Even MS could´t shoehorn Windows to fit on another platform (use a windows mobile phone and you´ll see).
Look at xbmc. They didn´t copied anyone and, on the xbox, their interface is better than the original dash.
