Sure you can. Is your Jasper at dash version 2.0.7371 or less?
Many thanks to BestPig for this great application. I wont even eat any bacon today to show my thanks.
As a feature suggestion it would be nice if Blackaddr's SMC patch routine was built into this.

How? The fuses are blown? It says so everywhere. And yeah, it was 7363, but updated to 7371 when i wanted to JTAG. Turned out it had CB 6750, so i couldn't get the CPU key is encrypted. right?
-
Awesome top quality as always!!
Good to see the removal of the nand/usb/hdd option as I have lost count of how many posts I've responded to asking about that or having issues related to it.
@jfelding: I don't think this will extract CPU keys for you!! That's easy enough to do anyway.
Dashlaunch has been updated for BB, hopefully now maybe they can look at ironing-out some of Dashlaunch's intrinsic bugs, like mounting all usb's as usb (which is annoying when ur friends have their GT's on USBmu's - Dashlaunch patches are mean to be addressable to USBmu's , but I don't see how that can work) And then there's the other stuff .... Half the people I deal with end up deciding it's too much trouble and have me roll back their nands (pre patch) Not that I want to complain about something that is cool to have at all let alone for free...

I think the creating a custom image option is plenty. This hack has already become way too n00b friendly...and the only thing that has led to is an outbreak of moronic idiotic and downright stupid MW2 lobby kids.
@bestpig , hopefully the dump i sent you will help. I don't see 4540 even on the list of them that you are looking for so i sent you one with it.

Well, im not looking for it to exract the key for me. Im just wondering how i can use Xell to get the key, when i have CB 6750.

zephyr still doesn't seem to be supported...
I've been trying to upgrade an XBR zephyr 4558 without original nand and it's giving me this error

anyone else notice Revision 3 is already posted at the official site?

They may just want that so the final image is built on 6750? but you are right it is not-exploitable so stop spamming the thread.

Since people just seemed to avoid my question and answer something i did not ask, i thought that maybe i did not ask the question right? I just added more information to allow people to understand what i was asking..
Also, i got a bit excited as i thought for a second that my friend's unusable xbox maybe could be JTAG'd.
Anyways, thanks for answering my question..

Maybe I'll buy some more Zephyrs if this is actually working with them. I'm not afraid to use iBuild or anything, but I love this app since it's so fast.

so I am assuming the direction of toolbox maker is expecting everybody to run dashlaunch afterwards, seeing as how there is no option, and no selection of memory edit, or xbox1 compatibility. Is the default still memory editing like from 2.4 v1. it seems to me there should be the option, or make xbox1 compatibility the default
so i am going to pass up this download, it has nothing for me, but thanks anyways as I ALWAYS use a different version it has been the best tool at my disposal

i have used it and my new nand works great, BUT i still cant figure out how to set up and use dash launch

Thats because those 2 things are included alrwady you don't need to select one with dashlaunch 1.0 they both work together. That is OLD news

Nice update... But I cannot get this to work on my jasper 512 nand dump. "The CPU key does not match the dump".. I know it matches, I can use other tools which will open the nand dump withoout any problem. When I search on google I can see that more ppl than me get this error..
-
You may need to decrease the file size.
Run it through Nandpro using the command nandpro nand.bin: -r64 nand64.bin (Changing nand.bin for whatever your dumps are named)
Then use the resulting image in Freeboot toolbox
-
RRODXbox: Thnx! Will try that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Edit: Damn, same error.. I tried with 64mb, 66mb and 512mb

I've never been able to get any of my 512 Jasper nand dumps to read in this toolbox. Same error, "The CPU key does not match the dump". I was able to install freeboot 0.032 with this guide: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=712076

Updated in 2.4 rev3
- Deletion of choice NAND / HDD / USB DashLaunch (Needless).
why is the selection needless now?
does this mean that i can place the dashlaunch .ini file where i want? hdd, usb etc?
do i still need the dashlaunch .xex or will it be already in the nand when creating the image with the toolbox?
i really don´t get why this option got deleted??!

They should just make the freeboot toolbox maker add the dashlaunch launch.xex to the compiled nand image since most people will be using dashlaunch to boot alternate dashes anyhow and if they don't use it then it doesn't affect the functionality of the 360 anyway.

I just tried to build a Freeboot image with this version and with the previous version.
Motherboard type is Zephyr
CB is 4540
Dash Version is 7371
I updated it to 7371 myself before doing anything. (it was at 7357 when i got it)
I installed XBR and it works fine. Got my CPU key no problem. Was able to use CPU key to get DVD key ok.
But when building my freeboot image I get same error on both version of the program. It says
"Your dump has not been properly extracted. The reason is unknown."
Also tried to build Freeboot using my XBR image as source and i get Resource ZEPHYR_4558 not found.
I can try guess i will look into manually building my Freeboot Image but i have never had to do that yet thanks to this program spoiling me.
Can anyone think of anything i am doing wrong?
-
In regards to my above post. I guess my CB is just not supported in this version of Toolbox.

** Currently only for motherboards with the following revisions:

Mine is 4540. Now i am trying to manually build it and i ran into another problem but it is off topic so i will probably make a new thread.

@Theson - The only reason you'd ask about freeboot 0.30 is for kv switching. If you want to do MW2 modding, figure it out yourself. Takes a whole five minutes to figure out.

Oki, Sorry for my noob Q but I have been trying to read up on this but everywhere it difrent awsers.
I am trying to fix Dashlunch and have a Jasper 512. First I got the cpu key error but solved that by cytting down my nand image with nandpro as told earlier in this thred.
So everything went fine (I didnt click the "creating a custom freeboot" option) and I flashed my new image to my box. It works fine but I cant se if dashlanch is installed. I cant get it to boot freestyle by defult.
My launch.ini is placed at root of my hdd and says
[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = LHdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
I havent done anything els, havent installed any flashinstaller or anything like that.
My internatl Mu is still unformateded if that has something to do with it.
So my problem is that it wount launch any alternative dash, have tried everything so hope that I have made a easy mistake and that someone would help me with pointing that out.
Thx

You seem to be trying to launch XeXmenu, you need to change it to your FSD path..

Hi
someone wants to buy my Jasper JTAG and he would like 0.30 installed on it. I know what he wants it for but it doesn't really bother me.
MW2 has been hacked to death anyway, the game is a steaming pile of turd now. What difference does one modder make?
Cheers
-
Shuldent it be able to start anything? I have tried with freestyledash 1.2 looking like this
[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = LHdd:\FreeStyle\FreestyleDash.xex
But dosent make a difrence. Its saved in UTF-8 but still no go.
-
Well, got it working now. I had to place the Flash_installer folder in my hdd root, then run defoult.xex in it so it flashed the files. Now its working, thanks for the help.

Why are Zephyrs always the pain? Trying to build a zephyr freeboot image (4558) and no dice. Either in FB toolbox or the old fashioned manual way.
With fb toolbox, I get "your dump is not properly extracted"

im struggling with the same I have 2 zephry jtags on xbr runs great (apart from the e79 smc bugs) try and get freeboot and smc patched no dice every time

yeah i do,if i use a nand made with jtag tool with the switched memory acces/compatibility it plays em just fine.
no nands with freeboot toolbox work.
partisioned it awhile ago.
go ahead and try a game...
-
I can't wait until they build one that works with all zephyrs and automatically AUD Clamp patches SMC. I'll be waiting... probably come out 2 weeks before a MS dash update!

This program still needs support for Zephyr 4570 I've had 10 of them come across my path over the past few days..
-
So if I wanted Xbox 1 compatibility I choose the "Creating a custom freeBOOT" option and just pick the right patch from the "patches [xb1 compatibility]" and place it in the "bin" folder, overwriting the patch file already there?
And if I want memory editting/dashlaunch I just leave it as is?
-
Hello,
here is the story,
i have freeboot.bin installed before which is created by freeboot maker v2.2. and it run well on my fsd 1.2 (included xbox1 games). but i want to migrate to fsd 2a and install dashlaunch on my freeboot. then i make a freeboot.bin (named it updflash.bin) with freeboot maker v2.4 rev3. updated it via Xellous.
the update is succeded, xbox360 and xbla games work without any problem but i can't play my xbox1 games. it always restart everytime i tried to play.
btw, my xbox1 games in usb hdd.
i have install back my original freeboot and the xbox1 games works.
anyone can figure out what is the problem?
Is freeboot maker v2.4 rev3 have bug?
Is dashlaunch not support xbox1 games?
thanks

If you guys are using dashlaunch v1.0 you will need to run the default.xex inside the "flash_installer" folder found in dash_launch_v1.0_for_9199.zip.

thanks for the tip...I followed the instructions for installing and setting up dash_launch_v2.01_for_9199 and everything is great now! XBOX1 working again

Can anyone take pity on me and point me to a tutorial on how to update my XBR JTAG to Freeboot using this program? I purchased my JTAG off a modder (with no additional info) and I'm trying to see if its even possible.
-
I know this topic, is a little old, but I´ll take my chances to ask some qustions.

I have a Zephyr with the CB version 4578, and I´ve managed dump the NAND successfully. This dump was done a year ago, and I was told that this version could not be hacked running a version of freeboot.
As I can see from this tread, the Zephyr with CB version 4578 is able to run freeboot. hmmmmmmm
Is this for real?
Will I be able to read out my CPU-key with this program?
Can I use my dumped NAND to get this key, or do I have to reconnect my JTAG?
Hopefully some of you guys in here could help me out.
THX

Yes, Zephyr with CB 4578 can be jtagged, but by using all the Jtagging files present for Falcon consoles.
