ISO2GOD v1.3.2Posted by XanTium | March 22 18:54 EST | News Category: Xbox360 |
| |
KrK / Team 360h released a version of ISO2GOD, a PC app for converting Xbox 360 ISO images straight into Games on Demand containers.
What's new/fixed: + Extraction of thumbnails from Xbox1 ISO images. This release adds support for thumbnail extraction from an Xbox1 ISO's default.xbe. If the XBE has provided a thumbnail for savegames this will be used for preference. If the save thumbnail isn't present then the title thumbnail will be used instead. There is currently an issue with certain games where it's not possible to convert the thumbnails from XPR->DDS->PNG due to the data being in a non-standard DDS format. If anybody has a detailed specification for the XPR format used in the $$XSIMAGE/$$XTIMAGE sections of an XBE, feel free to get in touch. + Option to "auto-browse" for an ISO image when adding an ISO to convert. ~ Improvements to XBE code. ~ Removed debug code from v1.3.1.

Why does Kaspersky give me a virus alert when I try to DL this?
-
It's probably a false positive, I got the same alert with MS Security Essentials.
Win32/Obfuscator.XY
-
thank you for the update...
-
Good looking out.
-
What does the auto-browse feature actually do?
-
probably a stupid question,
Do you need a jtagged xbox to use this?

Always nice with new versions of this tool, I'm using it a lot. Keep up the good work!
-
Thanks for this great tool. Using it on my PC, but as I do own a macbook, is there a program like this one for mac os x?
-
amazingly nice tool!
makes a lot easyer!!
xbe image extraction very buggy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
i were able to extract these files properly with the help of dexbe and xprextract combined with an dds to jpg converter!
(IMG:http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/9201/unbenannti.jpg)
is it possible to make the icons appear at the "achievment progress" section?
regards

You can add an exception if you go into settings and then threats and exclusions. Just add the folder and Kaspersky AV should leave it alone. Hopefully it is a false positive.

The reason for the virus detection is due to xextool.exe being protected by a program called ASPROTECT which alot of virus scanners detect as a virus, it isnt a virus but it does enter some things into the registry apperently and it can also be used to hide virus's in EXE's.
Also if you remove the ASPROTECT from xextool.exe it stops it being detected as a virus (which can be done easily)

nice tool... but i started to just extract xbox1 games into folders on a USB drive, using freestyle to launch which works great.... anyone know if there is a way to save the xbe game icon so we can use for artwork?
-
Sry if this has been answered but I´ve searched this forum and others and a few have asked the same questions but I can´t see that anyone got any complete answers.
1. After I use this program to convert a ISO to the GOD files. Is it possible to use them on an external USB HDD? Or are the GOD files just compatible with the official MS HDD´s?
2. Atm I use "Xbox Image Browser" to unpack an .ISO. I then transfer them to my USB HDD to a Game folder and then use "QuickBoot" to get a quickboot launcher that is visible inside NXE -> My Games. What is actually the difference between this method and the GOD files method? Pros/Cons between them?

Same question here. I use both AVG and SEP on two different computers, and both only quarantine the whole file (not clean it in any way/shape/form). I have the file on the ignore lists for now but would love to clean up my copy...

sharpy_uk and conundrum1911 there are guides on google on how to remove asportect (just google "unpack asprotect"). But since your interested here is Iso2God1.3.2 with XEXtool ASPROTECT unpacked and then UPX'ed to make it really small. And no virus scanner detects it as a virus (tested with jotti online virus scanner)

let me know how it works for you.

seems like iso2god worked properly but the game was not placed in the correct directory. Games must be placed in:
/Content/0000000000000000/12345678
where 12345678 is the game ID for your game

Hello...
Thanks for your answer...
But games are in right place because i see them in NXE.
But problem was in the DVD drive... If i want run games from NXE i must have something (x360 game)
in the drive... If is empty, games couldnt run... I dont know where is problem because if i run from Freestyle
than running without media in drive...
Thanks for any opinion and help

all disc 2 has is extra tracks, which u can extract & then put on hd.
"" /Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/4D53084D/00000002/ ""
then option to install disc 2 goes away
never tryed the 2 disk option on ME, but got FF13 to work with 3 dvd, brought game down from 21gb, to 14gb
& worked fine

It would be great to auto delete the $SystemUpdate folder at the ISO to GOD process...
If I am transfering 10.000 small files to my xbox hdd is slow, but if I am transfering the extract of ISO2GOD to my xbox hdd is fast!
But with the $systemupdate folder "inside" you risk your box get updated
I guess.

What about if there are two games with the same Title ID (but not Media ID), like GTA4 and Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City?
If I upload the GOD to my box, I see _only_ the game: GTA4 Liberty City!
So after creating the GOD I have one folder,
545407F2 / 00007000
with two other folders inside:
5E8A47874C0A007C2762.data
9970C8C7FBA02C22AD5B.data
and those files:
5E8A47874C0A007C2762
9970C8C7FBA02C22AD5B
I am using freeStyleDash to start them on the JTAGed box.
EDIT:
updated to the new FSD and it's working, now I have GTA4 and GTA4 LC

Ok, it's not working, after one restart, now I have only GTA4 LC back again

On IRC someone told me yesterday that it will remove automatically the $SystemUpdate folder...
Is this true?

Yup,...as long as your setting are correct.
On a side note, I can't seem to get the FTP feature to work for me,.....its wierd because flashFXP works fine with all the same settings.(with the exception of being really SLOW 2.5 mb/sec)

There are lots of bugs in the software! I tried to extract Halo 1 and Halo 2 and it says that it cannot find the default.xbe. I used wx360 to extract to a USB drive and they both run perfectly by executing the default.xbe in Xexmenu, but I can't run them as games on demand. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
Developers, do you have a fix for this?
I tried it on another image I had and it worked for Gauntlet, but I don't know how the ISO was extracted. I used my 0800 BENQ VAD-6038 drive for Halo and Halo 2 and it can't find the default.xbe for those two titles. I used S360X 4.1 with the whole disc stealth Xtreme 3.0 Splitvid settings. I think this might be why. Who knows what settings these are suppose to be for XBOX1 games to work with ISO2GOD 1.3.2?

whats the best option when extracting a xbox 360 game? partial, full or none in the tab
-
I figured out that ISO2GOD cannot see the xbe in xtreme images after also trying sector mapping with XBC 2.9... I then used s360x again and just extracted the game.iso with the external 0800 drive. I will also try to use the Kreon drive to do this. Halo 2 worked after using the ISO cropped settings. I am going to try a full ISO rebuild to see if it will run with all the padding removed. Thanks myself, you were the only one who knew wth was going on.
Devs, you should put into the next build the ability to extract xbe from different Xtreme rips too or at least put an FAQ with the release. This program works well when you have the right kind of image!
