Could use FTP. Put in your drive, launch XexMenu or Freestyle, FTP retrieve EVERYTHING from \hdd1\* and \hddx\* then reformat your 500gb drive, run the HDD Compatibility Partition Fixer, and re-upload your files to \hdd1\* and \hddx\*

FileZilla or FlashFXP is fine. After you transfer over everything, a few games' saves will be corrupted. I know Ace Combat 6, Dante's Inferno, and Forza 3 will be affected. Make sure to back up your old data if you have those games and want to salvage the saves. Use this guide:
