Quote

This utility allows you to easily edit Config.bin and NAND.BIN format files to change config settings on exploited Xbox 360 consoles.

for config file(s): 32Kb (nandpro)
for nand file(s): 16Mb, (66M), 256Mb, 512Mb (nandpro)

The current version will allow you to easily change these settings:
Console video format: PAL-> NTSC / NTSC-> PAL
  DVD Region: 01 .. 08, ALL regions
Game Region: USA, EUR, KOR, JAP

Other settings will be added in the next version

Once the file is edited, you will have to inject it on your exploited Xbox360 again, so the Xbox360 will boot with the modified settings.

Use at own risk!

from what i understand here you can edit the config.bin file and then re-inject it. Can we do this through flash360 or xellous? There's no way to modify the nand already running on the fly?

Because that's stored in the kv.bin, which is encrypted with the CPU key.

The config.bin isn't.

AFAIK I don't think you can make the 360 DVD Player Region free with it although  I may be wrong.

As of now the latest version of the 360 Flash Tool crashes when I click "Patch" so I can't make any changes to the configuration even if I have the proper cpu key.

I have exactly the same problem. I feel it may be a vista compatibility issue... Regardless of which its nice to have options (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thats precisely what this tool can do. It will allow you to edit your config file or NAND image and change the game region, dvd region and/or video output format smile.gif

i think you can use this in conjunction with the ftp server in xexmenu as that can access the files stored in the flash directly, as with other tools you have to reflash the entire thing which is a pain (someone tell me if im wrong)

Why?

Because the Keyvault and Configuration are not files stored on the flash - they're dumped areas of memory.

It's not too much fuss tho, seeing as you can reflash via an xex file and it takes less than a min for a 16MB NAND.

I have tried using Windows XP and Windows 7 with the same results.  Anybody know another way of changing the DVD OSID?

Thanks for the info. Can I take my XBR NAND backup, modifying it and reflash it? Will that work?

Yep! Just extract the config.bin, modify, re-inject and finally reflash.

Not everyone has an integrated SPI solution or wants to open the box, solder etc where you'll be done in 2 mins with Flash360.

How do you flash with an xex file and how do you create this ?

Also, apart from the region free dvd player, why not use X360GameHack to change the games region.

http://www.xbox-scen...pAVwNqKHUPg.php

Rename your reconfigured nand image to updpatch.bin and store on the root of a USB stick.
Run the default.xex for Flash360 and tell it to write the new updpatch.bin, remembering to press B to write the lot (A ignores the kv.bin and config.bin).

Because once you've patched an XeX, you cannot use Title Updates with it (as well as any DLC which depends on them).

ok i have backups of my Rawconfig.bin, ,my rawkv.bin and XBR.bin from when i originaly flashed my nand with XBReboot and i just want to make the dvd player multiregion. Do i just load up the XBR.bin into the program and then write it all back to the nand using nandpro (nandpro lpt: -w16 xbr.bin).

   Thanks in advance

Look at my previous post - you can do it all with Flash360 without needing to rerun NANDPro.

X360 cfg editor; Does it work with original dashboard 8955? or it just work with exploitables?

The config.bin file is not encrypted...technically you should be able to modify it on ANY 360 without it needing to be exploited...

EDIT:

Unless it's signed, not sure why they would sign it though.

Is this actually working?

I dumped my 360's nand using flash360, then patched it to be region free using the cfg editor - then reopen the bin file with cfg editor and it reports as being region free, but when I flash the modded nand image back to the 360 using flash 360 it flashes OK but the 360 still doesn't play ntsc movie dvd's - only pal.

I'm using the latest xbreboot on my 360.

So there's no one on this forum that knows how to make the 360 dvd movies region free using this app? well if that's the case is there another app that can do it?

I am using the latest xbreboot that's patched to play games from any region. (PAL machine plays pal+ntsc).

This program caused a E72 on a Jasper 256mb PAL console after turning it to NTSC, DVD Region = ALL, and Game Region = USA. Can get the console working again after reflashing the original config.bin, buts its a PAL console.
