Feeling generous -  sounds like you flashed the 20gb .bin to your 80gb.  Try acquiring/flashing the 80gb .bin.

There is no official 80gb hdd.  Unless you have done the jtag hack you have to flash the 60gb hdss.bin file to it and have it show up as a 60gb...
