A new version of JungleFlasher(info) has been released.
What's new/fixed: * iXtreme 1.61 support * 1 minor bug * other work was planned but leak of 1.61 prompted this quick fix
Official Site: http://jungleflasher.net Download: here

Does this work with Windows 7 64bit? I can't seem to get it to work right.
-
nice. Great work !
-
Don't know what they fixed but i already flashed my drive with ix 1.61 with JF 1.66 worked fine for me
-
I guess the only thing they fixed was getting JF to recognize 1.61. Im guessing now when it asks you if you want to autoload the target firmware it will work fine. I also updated with the previous versions and it worked fine, i just had to point JF to 1.61, autoload didnt work. No big deal though.

Seems they made a typing error on their download page.

Jungle Flasher V0.1.68 beta (49) = JungleFlasher.0.1.66.Beta.rar

I doubt it. I think it has to do with the portio thing, in that its 32-bit only.
which sucks because I too have a Win7 64-bit pc.
With 64-bit becoming more mainstream, hopefully soon their will be a way to flash a 360, in windows, with a 64-bit computer.

Dont hold your breath, the guys from Winford engineering were asked if they were working or had intentions on creating a 64Bit portio and the answer was a resounding no.

Sorry, but ace-of-spades you are wrong. Jungleflasher runs fine under x64 Windows 7. PortIO (a seperate x86 driver) won't work, however.

So you can use Jungle Flasher to all your flashing needs under x64 Windows 7.
Stop being pedantic.

-
flashed fine in Windows 7 32bit with CK3 pro, benq updated to 1.61
-
Thanks for the great work and quick release guys!
-
Great work thanks.
-
Good Stuff! Now just waiting for a nice new Lite-on file to put in there!
-
Good news
I already flashed my BenQ with iXtreme 1.61 using 1.66 too, and it works fine, not sure what the 'bug' that they fixed with it is - probably just the autoload.
-
It bricked my benq.
Crash on Verifying the write.

which makes me right, not wrong.
The point of the program jungle flasher is to flash 360's...and can it do it on a 64-bit pc, No.
So it doesn't work on 64-bit. I dont care if it loads, whoop-dee-frickin-doo.
If it can't do its job, it dosn't work.

I have seen so many benq, and liteons that people have claimed to be bricked and always able to bring it back in dos.
-
Ranger72, is there a tut on how to do that in case it happens to one of us?
I was under the impression that dosflash 64 was fine with windows 7 64 and i successfully flashed to 1.6 about a week ago, (FINALLY)

Unless you physically damage the hardware, it's extremely difficult to brick the Samsung, Benq or Lite-on drives. at worst, the drive will be without firmware (which is what you do when you erase it), so just click on Vendor Intro and power cycle the drive. If your PC is freezing when you switch on the drive, you've got conflicting drivers trying to take control within Windows.

Yep tried cycling power like 50 times. i gave up after working at it for like 5 hours.
I just ordered a new one that should be here soon.
( looking for a good tut on howto replace a benq with a benq)

flash new benq with your old key in new firmware (1.61) - job done.
-
Flashed an MS28 drive to 1.61 using JF on Windows 7 32 bit. No dramas.

It's very hard to brick a benq. I would try dosflash.
