Title: 360 Connects To Live Thru Pc's Wireless (nat Issues)

I just got a new roommate and now i had to move my xbox to my room. I didn't want to run an ethernet cord thru the wall so i thought i might be able to share my wireless internet connection on my pc with my xbox.

here's how it's setup:

Internet --> Modem --> Wireless Router --> Wireless PC Adapter (Shared Connection - ICS) -->
Wired Ethernet Adapter --> Xbox 360

PC Specs -
Win XP Pro
Wired Ethernet port - connected to xbox360
Wireless adapter - shared connection (ICS)

I don't have the connections bridged because that doesn't seem to do anything but disconnect my wireless connection from my router.

I boot my 360 and it signs into Live no problem. I can see my friends online and can get to online content in the marketplace.

The issue is this: I am unable to play any online games due to strict NAT settings. When I am connected through ethernet cables directly to the router it works fine. I have a NETGEAR WGR614v6.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Post by: FrostyTheSnowman on April 28, 2009, 01:11:00 PM: I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to NAT, but one thing I can tell you is that ICS in Windows XP/Vista is not very configurable... so adjusting NAT settings for ICS will not be easy.

But, have you tried opening the correct ports on your router and forwarding them to your wireless card in your PC?

Also, have you opened the correct ports for live in your Windows firewall?
