Sounds like you did this,but this is how it works. You might have to update iprep 8 w/ ixdef file to latest( ixDef.1.51). After you get that, go to My Computer, C:. Program Files, Iprep, Resources. Then replace ixdef w/ the ixdef.1.51.

Uninstall iprep and reboot pc. Reinstall iprep and update 1.51 def file. Do not drag your firmware files into the firmware folder.
Just open iprep, load your ixtreme 1.51 firmware to samsung, benq or lite on depending on what drive you have.
Choose your sata controller your using to plug drive into.
Choose your target device(mines my usb stick) make sure you choose the right one.
click format/make bootable
click batch files
start.

with ixtreme i downloaded the rar to desktop. then open with you torrent. U torrent gives me options of what files to download and I picked the samsing 1.51 and there was the filezip 1.51 downloaded those.
I moved the 2 files from u torrent to desktop.
extracted ixdef 1.51
openid i prep resource and there was ixdef xml document only and tools. i draged the ixdef 1.51 onto the ixdef xml document and it showed up next to it. Now I have ixdef document folder.. ixdef1.51 folder... tools folder in the iprep resources
Open Iprep click load samsung firmware... It opened a screen.. I chose the samsung rar file from my desktop.. no go
I then right click samsung rar and extracted here with filezip.... a samsung bin showed up on my desk top
opened iprep tryed loading the samsung bin still nothing

you dont have to put the ixdef 1.51 folder in there, remove that, just copy and paste whats inside that folder(ixdef xml for 1.51) and replace the ixdef document

I tryed rebooting to usb stick just to see if it works and it didnt i had nothng on it

Download the tutorial and read it. You'll get it eventually. Did you set your pc to boot to your usb stick?

Did you dump the original key from the sammy your gonna replace? Cause you can flash it to your new drive as well. Just use Iprep to do the whole thing.
dump key from old drive-if you can(dSam xxxxxxx xxxxx)
firmtool runs automatically making your ixtreme 1.51 file for you.
reboot-save backup of files on usb stick-just in case.
hook up drive w new pcb in it.
boot pc w/ usb into iprep
flash to new drive(fsam xxxxxxx xxxxx)
done

did the read
then the numbers came for atapi or something
1-5 none
6 .Sector master Atapi no idtentify possible
Flash id.oxbf,device id.ox44 flash type sst flash size 512kb
7..... none
Then it said to enter the number of atapi I entered 6
Asked me what to do i did read
I entered the back up file samofw bin
1-6 sectors read ok
firmtool started and said file backups/1234567/12345/samofw.bin is not 256 kb program aborted
again sorry for the ball breaking but id apriciate ur help and uve been very helpful

I was experimenting with jungle flasher and it does not detect my drive if that helps..

The drive sounds like it may be too dead(pcb) already. If you cant get the key off it you won't be able to get another drive working. Iprep should of worked but since the drive is having issue's it may not be able to read the key. I would sell it for parts and get a new arcade for $200 somewhere.
Also, the tsop will likely need to be removed and read with an external programmer. Look for someone on here who can do that for you.
Keep trying to get iprep or jf to recognize your drive. So you can dump the key.

My drive worked for 20 min or so and id get a dirtydisc error.
I replaced the laser and forgot to desolder it.
Now i get open tray no matter what laser i use... the orig used to work now none work..

Wow, this is getting more and more interesting. Sounds like you got the drive out of wack. Just forget about that for now.
PM me again. It didnt go through.
So you have a via card then. Try using another sata port on it. Boot to iprep again or use jf to see if you can get it recognized.

Can you send the file to me? I want to see if its vaild. Then I can make a 1.51 ixtreme file with it and send it back to you. Then flash with iprep. I sent my email address to you. I'm going out for dinner but I'll be on later.
Its prettty hard to brick sammy's so your get it right soon enough.
You can also make the samcfw.bin file manually with firmtool. But lets just make sure the file has a good key in it.

Thanks I just got the original. Looks like a good key. I inserted it in the 1.51 ixtreme for you and sent it back. Put it in your backup folder on usb stick and flash it.

You should dump the key off the original pcb again and redo your hacked firmware in JF. Then check with this app. Maybe that's the problem.

I also tried this with my original/hacked firmware and it passed. So there is something wrong with your key.
