Still not working in Vista x86 Ultimate. A message pops up saying "No VIA ports were found!" When I click OK windows locks up and I have to reset my PC. I do not have a VIA card in this PC. I only have the onboard Nforce 570 SATA.

Was hoping it would work this time with Vista (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

GUI doesn't appear and JungleFlasher.exe running at 99% cpu continously.

Had no issues with .26 beta on this setup:

Via 8237 sata on motherboard
Via 6421A pci card

Yes. Here is a guide to flash the benq and the sammy drive with JF guide

I recently used it to flash a samsung ms28 and it worked like a charm.

Try following the Appendix of the user guide and delete VIA Ports Only from Registry Settings.

Hi Guys

When using the new version of JF on loading older dummy.bin files created by the older JF, it pops up a window saying,

dummy.bin is missing some drive specific information and that it if possible should re-extract drive info again with the latest tools - proceed anyway ?.

Does anyone know what this specific info is and how detrimental it is to the operation of the console ?

regards

Gui does not appear.
After around 10 seconds pc resets (screen goes black, and bios screen appears}
After bios screen windows does not load, instead the following message appears:
Reboot and select proper boot device, or insert media in selected boot device and press a key

I have to reset the PC again to get back into windows.

Asus a8v deluxe motherboard with VIA VT8237 on sata

Jungleflasher 0.26 beta worked fine.

either they failed to code proper dummy.bin recognition
or
if recognition of the firmware is ok, dummy.bin created by the old JF was faulty
or it
could mean they wrote new code to prepare the dummy.bin more properly now

either way its quirky program to me, just use dosflash for liteon , then firmtool that dummy.bin onto the liteonixtreme. i use dosflash for benq/samsung/liteon. i don't require JF

it's a good thing to write a windowsbased all-in flasher that does about everything you could do, but it too big of a project for now i don't use it. if in all glory it oneday works without any issues then i'm real impressed

Heres my guide if it's any use:

1. Connect your Benq to your pc's sata controller and boot into Windows WITHOUT turning the drive on. Once in Windows, turn the drive on.

2. Start Jungleflasher and click the MTK Flash 32 tab
At the I/O Port section on the left hand side, select the port that shows your Benq drive in the Drive
    Properties section
Click the Benq Unlock button - a message will appear saying the drive is unlocked
Click the Read button and your existing Benq firmware will be read - save this file. It will be called
    BENQ-OFW.bin

3. Click the FirmwareTool 32 tab
Click the Load Source Firmware button and select your BENQ-OFW.bin file
Click the Open Target Firmware button and select the ix15Benq.bin
Click Spoof Source To Target button
Click the Save To File button - save as Benq_CFW.bin

4. Click the MTK Flash 32 tab again
Click Write and your drive will first be erased and then the Benq_CFW.bin will be written to your drive.

Thats it really.

I'm thinking the FirmTool 32 Liteon bug has been resolved with this release.

Don't use Jungleflasher for Liteon erase/write. Use Dosflash16 (DOS version) and L-O-Eras.

i didnt make it all the way in jf

To cut a long story short it took me 2 days of pissing around to find out what to do so here gos

get a VIA VT6421A (i already had one) install a fresh copy of windows vista 32bit install all your board drivers etc then install Port IO and the CK3 PRO usb drivers shut down connect CK3 and drive start pc eject liteon push half way back in turn off turn on boot to windows run jf connect probe dump key etc.. but after that it freezes if you try to flash the drive so i dont bother grab xflasher

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=674210

and run the program with your usb stick put all of your dumped files in a folder called 12345 thats inside a folder like this on the pen drive usb drive:\BACKUPS\1234567\12345 then rename the hacked firmware you made with jf to hack-lit.bin instead of the name jf gives it otherwise xflasher wont recognise it reboot go into bios change your pc to boot from usb run xflasher when it asks what serial your xbox is put in 1234567 12345 then it will say you must of dumped your keys before so just go ahead and erase the drive and flash it works like a dream  biggrin.gif

hope that helps my motherboard is a asus p5k deluxe ive got 4gb of ram and 2 samsung f1s in raid 0 and an nvidia 8800gts

Ok i have a quick question with opening 0.0.43 JF as mine won't open for me. I installed the portIO32 from 0.0.28 JF which has worked good for me (5 successful lite-on flashes). I go to open the 0.0.43 JF and it won't open. I uninstall the portIO32 and the 0.0.43 will open. I go to manually install the portIO32 that came with the dl and now my 0.0.43 JF won't open. I may stick with the 0.0.28 since i can actually get into it, but if any1 can help me thanks.

I'm also getting trouble.

Installed PortIO, run jungleflasher and my pc freezes for about 10 secs then I get a BSOD...

Something like "INVALID PAGE CALLER" or something along them lines...

Stick with 0.26 I think...

"NO VIA SATA PORTS FOUND" in intel 865, the first release .26 beta works fine in my intel. I extracted in winxp (INTEL), and erase and flash in DOS (VIA)

I used it for my first lite-on, i launched JF with the ck3.
the CPU spiked to 99%, i continued to dump the files, spoofed the FW.
I went to erase and the app froze.

I needed to use iprep to erase the drive with L-O-Eras, I used JF again to flash....

Strange!

XP SP3 (Clean intall)
VIA 6421A PCI card.
intel Motherboaed.

I can't open it either unless i delete the portIO drivers. If I use this proggy without the IO drivers, could I possibly brick my drive?
Is it essential to use those drivers?

the odd thing about jf for me is it has always worked flawlessly. both versions. i just dont mix the two also as far as the error box that pops up ive never seen it.  but my pc is an old dell optiplex with a 533mhz processor and a PCI VIA card and a ck3 lite with com adapter and custom probe. ill take a pic later so it makes a bit more sense.  runs on 374mb of ram and a "skinny" version of windows XP PRO SP3... so i dont know. works great for me.  but i still wish more users had the luck that i have had.....

Jungleflasher .26 worked flawless for me.

Using a dell vostro 410 with intel sata chipset, ck3 and probe.

I've flashed lite-on, ben-q, sammy, and used hitach un-lock tools.  However, I had to use maximus to dump and flash.

I have another dell sitting in my living room, which is a 4 year old computer with on-board intel sata.  That also works flawless.  I use windows XP for flashing as vista had issues in the past bricking a drive.

I will not try the JF 0.43 since there's no issues now.

Was having the same problem as some of you.. JF .26 working no problems but when I came to use .43 It wouldn't open and the CPU usage was at 99%. Eventually got it working by deleting the Jungleflasher folder in the registry then uninstalling the PortIO32 driver, . Restarted the computer and ran .43, GUI opens. Unticked Via ports only and exited. Installed PortIO32 and restarted. Success. Hope this helps.

I have a similar problem. The JF .43 would open but I dont get to see all the content in the window,  and it won't let me move  to the right side. so I can't use the buttons on the right side becuase I do'nt see them. it's wird.  If any body has ideas  I will apreciate them thanks.

What do you mean by GUI opens "unticked via ports only"  and exited ? I 'll see if this works for me
