Title: Clear Library In Media Center Extender
Post by: Nazgul11 on December 06, 2008, 01:38:00 PM
Hey all! Just a quick Media Center question here...

Alright, so I have Windows Vista, and have Media Center all setup. I also just set up my 360 as an extender, which works pretty nicely. But there's one problem...when I first set it up, it scanned the default folders, which includes the c:/user/public stuff, which is not what I wanted, and now there is a ton of stuff listed in my library that I don't want. So I changed the folder watch list to what I originally wanted, but it doesn't remove the stuff that isn't being watched anymore. Now, I had the same problem when Windows Media Player first scanned the default folders. I just set the watched folders to the correct setting, selected everything with Ctrl+A and deleted my library, and it rescanned everything. But I can't really do that on the my 360. I also know that the library that I need to clear is in the mcx1 user folder, but when I try to open that it says "You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click continue to get access to this folder.". Is it safe to hit continue? I'm guessing by hitting continue its going to change some sort of securitys settings the folder has. Also, is going into the mcx1 user folder really the best way of clearing the library?

Thanks for any help in advance! biggrin.gif
