Downloading & Moving to folder Then running Code to make this issue work...
I have been trying to find on this site & google, a way to resolve the issue of missing a file MSCOMCTL.OCX, I have come accross the suggestion to:
Download the missing file and put it in the C:/Windows/System folder and the run: REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX
Apparently this works and fixes the issue but I am just a bit iffy about downloading the file as you never know if it could be harmful or not...
Prior to formatting my computer and having a devastating trojan, XBC worked fine and had no problems at all, I simply copied the files from the zipped download and started using the program immediately problem free. Is there any reason as to why this doesn't work again after formatting?
I am running Vista Ultimate. UAC Disabled.
^The same as before formatting.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Tom.

I think it may have been the version of Xbc you started with. You probably had an earlier version, and on your new install just the latest one?
You can either download the file and register or run an earlier version of xbc for a moment and then the 2.8 will work.

Thanks for the suggestion but the version I was\am using is the latest.
No Idea why it didn't work this time.
But I went ahead with downloading the file and then running and typing the parameter and basically the process of downloading that file and installing it and it now works and I've had no failures, and I'm yet to see any bad result of downloading, unzipping and registering the file to my system.
So at this time i suggest people with the error issue of this topic to download the file and follow the instructions closely.
I downloaded and followed the instructions from HERE
Thanks again for the help.
