Title: Xbc Verification Failed, Maybe...
Post by: brettwier on March 09, 2008, 03:04:00 PM
Ok, this is the first time I've used xbox backup creator (v.2.8) and I'm not sure how successful I was.  I'm hoping someone can help me to interpret the message I got and understand the verification process...
Here is the message I got:

   Starting write
   Write complete
   Syncing Cache
   Closing Track
   Finalizing Disk
   Ejecting tray for verification
   Loading tray for verification
Verifing disc contents...
   Drive not ready
Getting media info [E]
   Media Type: Not Present
   Write failed

What does this mean exactly, have I made a coaster  unsure.gif ?  Before I go on to make more coasters I thought I would get the perspective of someone more experienced.  Is there a way to verify the backup again from XBC?

burner: NEC 5320 - this burner has worked for others
media: Memorex DVD+R DL - I know verbatim is best, but again, I know this media should work.
booktype: my firmware is up to date and I used DVDinfo pro to confirm that the game I burned was DVD-ROM
ISO: I am burning an iso that passed all the XBCr and Mulleter tests/checks. Data size is 7.30 GB (7,835,492,352 bytes). I used the XBC burning engine @ 2x writing speed and pointed XBC to the .dvd file for burning.

Thanks for your help!  smile.gif
