Is it possible to stream wmv-hd and .ts-files from linux to xbox 360? if so, how?

You can probably use VLC, as long as all the files you are streaming are the right format (and can be decoded by the 360).

this question comes often, mybe the admins can create a section in the 360 FAQ or something:

I found the following MediaServers:

TwpnkyMedia(30€)
uShare(couldnt test, worn libc on my machine)
MediaTomb(will be 360 compatible in one of the next versions)
and
fuppes  http://fuppes.ulrich-voelkel.de

can someone post or point to a guide how to setup vlc?
