Damn I have been waiting for this release since the update and none of my movies I converted for mp4 format for my ipod work in here, What a shame. Maybe i will try to convert them all to H.264 instead? Anyone have luch with it? So far most of te video podcast work well.

Acill_MOS, I found a bug in the way Connect360 works with iTunes imported / downloaded videos. I sent an email to the developer to see if he can resolve it. If you don't add the files to iTunes you should be fine playing them through the regular Video folder.

Anyone know if this works with a direct connection from the mac to the 360 via cat-5 cable?  The site seems to say it requires a hub or router.  I just use my 2nd ethernet port to stream from the G5 in vista and it works great.  Curious about this before I go "unsyncing" the 360 from media center.  Its definetly a pain to switch back and forth.

You need a hub or router, direct connection does not work.

Also, I cant play any of the movies I converted from DVD to mp4. They all work on my ipod fine, but I get an error on the 360 telling me its not supported. It doesnt matter when i ut the movie or tell it where they are.

The problem is the extra crap iTunes adds when importing them into your library. The Connect360 guys saids they're trying to find the root of the issue. For now, save a copy of the video that has not been imported into iTunes.

Anyone know the perfect app fo macosx for converting avi's etc to mp4/mov I tried visualhub but it would play for 1 min or so then give me unsupported error.

Cheers

Another thing is it just me or are there issues with fast forwarding through movies shared with connect360?
Like it just gives up and gives you an error if you flick forward more than once or twice and if you ff and press play it stops. It can get annoying if you've watched most of something and it stops and you want to get back were you were up to.

Geoffmac, I've been having the same issues.  I don't understand why a video will work just fine and then suddenly stop.  I've tried using different source videos and encoding to different formats and they all seem to have the same problem.  Converting to .wmv seems to have the best results but still will "black screen" if you try to ff or skip around.  All my .mp4/.mov files (H.264 or not) will black screen out by itself a few minutes into a video.

I read in another forum where a guy from the Xbox Team itself said they used VisualHub as a tool to encode test videos for the new video codecs in the 360 so it seems like everything should be peechy.  Something is squirrelly though and I just haven't figured it out yet.

Bigft64, nice to see its not just me!

And I cant seem to make a mp4/h264 movie that works properly on the 360 yet.  Hopefully an app will come out specifically for that.

i've figured out acidentaly how to make it works with two nics
i don't have hub or router here, then i already reported these guys about this and they do nothing and probably will don't.

if you have here azureus app (yes, the torrent client)
open it first
then turn on your 360
you will listen the discovery xbox coming from mac

voila!
but works blink.gif
