A new region/stealth checker for the Xbox360:
XDVDRebuilder is a program that doesnt rebuild xbox dvds(actually it would work for xbox 1 isos ripped with garbage but not for 360 isos because they have magical hidden data and until someone works out where it might be its doomed to failure)
Note: this program is not complete and as such has options that dont do anything and buttons which are disabled, dont panic though, its easy.
What it DOES do is quickly and easily allow you to check the region code of an iso(more specifically the default xex/xbe of an iso) and tell you if its stealthy or not, and if it has been patched with SS. Works with both xbox1 and xbox360 isos.

That was quite possibly the most confusing description of an app I've ever read.
-
Wow your serious?
It checks to see what region iso it is, checks for SS (security sector), and tells you if its stealthy.
-
doesn't backup creator 2.0 already do that?
-
magical hidden data............... so is that the technical term
-
Wow... that was confusing.
Um... aren't there already apps that do this and more? Why would we want to use this?
-
If you own the original game wouldn't you already know what region & all other info?
This seems like a tool to help you get your downloaded illegal games working.

So iso only? Not xtremestyle/wxripper image?

so now that XS is supporting software to help with piracy, does that mean we can all talk about piracy now? or we will still get banned? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

This is true...seems like it would be used more for pirating. Maybe unless you buy different region game discs (and a lot of them), have all of them backed up on your pc, and live in a really large home where you can't find the original that you own and need to know the region and such while you are at your computer.
And yes, the description of the program was very poor and confusing, at first that is. The program is advertised by what it doesn't do and then describes what it does in the next paragraph or two.

The reason 99% of people use the firmware hack is to play illegal copies. Anyone TRULY thinking otherwise is an idiot. Promoting the firmware hack at ALL is promoting piracy.
I personally think it's interesting to check the new ISO's that come out, see if they're region locked, etc.

Absolutely!! Here Here!! Atlast.....someone being honest!!
The really confusing part is where we find this marvelous new app lol. 8 pages of google almost solely dedicated to the news of this release on various sites around the globe and yet the app itself seems to be quite stealthy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

SS is secure sector mate. I'll tell you when I manage to locate the app and give it a run (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Personally I'm more interested in checking the stealth side of things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

the nfo is confusing because what i set out to do with xdvd rebuilder it currently DOESNT do, because as far as i know noone has worked out how to do it.
However once the filesystem parsing code was in place it was trivial to add things like region checking, so i did, and released it with just that in mind.
SS checking isnt ENTIRELY accurate in that it only checks if the area is blanked or not. You would need to emulate the whole disc security system to check if its an actual working ss. But if you dont have an SS there that area should always be blank and so the checking should be accurate to the extent possible without a whole lot of work.

Hi, What I think I and others were more interested in was checking an iso image stored on a pc hd to see if it is stealth patched without having to keep attaching the 360 to the pc. Now that would be a handy tool for those who aren't scared to admit the real reason they hacked their drive in the first place (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

does this also check the other 2 security bits. The pfi and dmi?
-
xbox backup creator v2.2 checks all 3 parts for its stealth check.... video, dmi and pfi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
This will tell you iso/image users what you need to know with regards to stealth checking (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
