Title: Holy Crap!
Post by: journeyman11 on April 25, 2006, 10:33:00 AM
I finally got it to work. Finally!  I have been trying, off and on, for months to get this to work.  Well, I found this little tidbit on some random message board: "Your router must have "UPnP" and also "multicast" enabled".

UPnP has always been enabled, but I had never heard of multicast.  I found multicast on the router setup, enabled it, and BAM!

*dances*

It works great for me.  It even continued to serve music to me downstairs as my boot drive slowly died to the point that I couldn't run programs*.  But the music kept on coming!

*Note, I only discovered this afterwards.
