I have xbox360 with hacked Hitachi DVD-ROM drive. Can I rollback DVD drive firmware to original? It will allow me play xbox live safely.
-
There is no "roll back" - when you hack the firmware, it erases the chip, and rewrites it. If you can get the exact original firmware bin file, and copy your DVD key onto it, then it will effectively have original firmware with the proper keys required to operate safely on Live. If you do it wrong, you have a fancy, loud brick.

Can I extract the DVD key from my hacked drive?

Yes. Just read the drive using JungleFlasher as if you were gonna hack it in the first place. Many times, depending on what firmware is on it, it's an easy read. Many firmwares support easy reading by having the drive half-open when powering it up. Poke at google, it's a bit more involved than I want to get into right now.

ok. I can extract the DVD key. Then where I can find exact original firmware bin file to write all it in my drive?
-
Off the top of my head, I have no idea. I have a pile of 360 DVD drives though. What brand of drive do you have? What version of the drive? I'll see what I can find..

Thanks. I've found original firmware for my drive already.

Where at? If it's a public source, other people might need this information some time.
