Title: Abgx With Wave 4 Support...
Post by: mhouldey on November 10, 2009, 01:06:00 PM
Hi,

I don't understand why the ABGX team hasn't added WAVE 4 support yet?  There is an unofficial build which has WAVE 4 support.  If it is possible for some random person to download the source code and add WAVE 4 support, why hasn't the team that maintains the software done it yet?

I know they do this for free, but I am a programmer, and I am quite sure that simply adding WAVE 4 support isn't too lengthy a process (we have proof of this as some random guy has already uploaded an unofficial build).

Maybe the team doesn't want to simply release a v1.01 with WAVE 4 support tacked on, and it would rather wait and release v1.02, which I presume will include other things aswell as WAVE 4, and could have been already half done when WAVE 4 hit.  However, isn't anyone that relies on ABGX for whatever reason basically stuck now?  One must just wait, or use the unofficial version that nobody can prove is simply a harmless effort by some kind soul to provide WAVE 4 verification whilst we wait for the official release.

I personally think that the unofficial build is safe, but still, doesn't anyone else think that the official team should at least post some news on the site about when an official version will be ready?  Again, I know they do this for free, but I'm sure 5 seconds to post a paragraph on the website is not an impossible amount of time to find.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think, or just reply to flame me.

Cheers,

mhouldey

Now all you gotta do is ask why there is still no support for 256/512 Jasper with the 360 flasf tool.  I don't understand why they haven't released it yet?
