Title: Have 2.0.13599.0 Already, But Live Prompts Me A System Update When I T
Post by: SirTimmyTimbit on August 04, 2011, 05:30:00 AM
Hi!

I have a flashed liteon 74850c with the 2.0.13599.0 dashboard. When I try to sign on to Live it prompts me a system update and if I cancel it sends me back to the dash.

Should I update? Anyone know what's going on?

A little more info would be useful, ie what firmware is on the drive and did you flash it originally?

It could be that you did the update first without a hard drive attached or a different hard drive or USB stick attached or something like that.  This is possibly just wanting to download the missing files and put them on your hard drive.

Probably just adding certain things pieces of information that were left out in the update by accident. As long as you're sure that you're on the latest dashboard, then nothing should happen. The same thing happens on JTAGs when you update them to the newest dashboards. You sometimes need to use the official Microsoft update to get your avatar data back. You won't notice any difference and everything should stay the same.
