I had a ton of trouble with XP back in the day when I needed a wireless bridge. I really don't recommend using client bridging for connecting to LIVE as, in my experience, it tends to have trouble resolving IPs and getting the correct packets through the network. You'd probably be better served with a router that can do wireless bridging (like with DD-WRT or Tomato firmware).
What version of Windows are you using?

From a techy's perspective, switching from wired to all wireless is a really dumb move. I can't imagine how that's seen as a net gain.
I tried Googling the error codes, but found minimal information. Does Xbox LIVE work for other people on their bridges? If not, it could be a local network issue. Otherwise I'd guess your laptop is causing problems.
