Are there any new bans still coming down? Not really interested in people who haven't logged in two weeks and have found themselves banned (because you could of been banned a while ago), but more or less people who go into live frequently and only today found themselves banned?
it seems to be quieting down? or maybe there's not a whole lot of unbanned consoles left?

I heard some people saying dont even bother connecting until at least 2010.
-
Considering we now know the firmware can be indirectly detected, I wouldn't consider it over until after a new firmware is released.
-
any updates from c4eva?
-
FWIW I just found out yesterday (11/21) that I was banned....

yes, big update from c4eva, he's still not sure if MS can detect the firmware...still running tests on live and logging the results, i am sure he will be back with some definite report soon....NOT

yah, but had you logged in on 11/20 or 11/19 as well? Could of been banned weeks ago and you didn't know it yet?>

doesn't matter weeks ago or not, its not like a guy sits behind a computer banning people all day, they probably have an algorithm installed on an XBL update telling them if the machine is hacked or not

well yah it kinda matters in regards to my original question? Have they stopped banning people? The previous years they only banned for a fixed period of time and then stopped.
If Microsoft had banned him a week ago, but he hadn't attempted to login, how do we know if he was banned a week ago, or if MS is still currently issuing bans?
So with historical precidence of fixed periods of times for banwaves, its very relevant to know if the banwave is over. (Unless they've switched to an xbox1 banning style, where don't use banwave's, but just ban on the fly.. which would also being useful information resulting from knowing when the ban occured)

You do need a pc running the xlink program. It actually works best if you have both the pc and 360 on their own lines to the router. see the guide. Then post any questions there.

This ban wave is different it will never be over until a new firmware is released.

So any new Xbox Live bans?

I wouldnt even say that is accurate. Yes, new firmware may be created to sneak by whatever M$ implimented for the new bannings, but I would agree that it is not a ban wave. More like M$ nagravision ver. 1.0 (for those that now anything about Dish)
With all the reports I have seen, if you have a drive that is not stock(model and firmware) or an exact replacement of the stock, no modification whatsoever to firmware, then you are or "may" be completely safe. Other than than, according to M$ simply opening up the case is subject to ban(yes I know BS, don't argue, thats what they say on the phone)
SO STOP BEING STUPID AND STAY OFFLINE WITH NON-STOCK SYSTEMS!

I was banned within the last week, don't know exactly which day so I'd say it's safe to say that it's not over.

the dude in charge of xbox live enforcement, stepto, is auctioning off a day with the banhammer crew at the child's play fundraiser this weekend. since he said it will be arranged for january, i think it is safe to assume that this banwave or ban system is still in place.
Went for 2K. It'd be super interesting to go even though I'm sure they will keep anything really interesting completely secured. Plus Child's Play is about as worthy a cause as you can get. Congrats to the winner.

I suspect the "banhammer crew" are the people responsible for reviewing abuse reports and so on; the people who ban your GT for having offensive stuff in your profile and suchlike. There is no need to have a human being in the loop for the console bans; someone says "ok we're going to ban everybody who we have data that says they have modified the console", pushes a button, and it's done. So, I suspect it's unlikely that whoever won that is going to see/hear anything even *remotely* relevant to this

nephew got banned couple days ago. so they are prob still banning
-
Even after LT is released (and if it's undetectable), you still can get banned from violations before LT. They ban people randomly to keep people guessing. Just assume you'll get banned at anytime and enjoy it while you can.
