Just fired up my xbox 360 I use for movies and it logged in and asked if I wanted to update. I then went and try all the ones around the house and they all want to update aswell. So Im guessing its offically out.
Time 12:23am 10th Aug.
Will report if anything is different once update finishes. Im guessing It will all be the same apart from the bit about being a preview and listing features.

Still the same as preview even has the preview channel. Thats strange this xbox I updated never was on the preview but I did just recover my gamertag to it so that might explain it.
Mass effect = 99.95
Call Of Duty 2 = 69.95
Oblivion = 49.95.
No way Id pay that much, Would hate to see what a brandnew game would cost.
Hell I brought Mass effect brand new 3 months ago for $60 lol.
Xbox live does seem to be running a bit faster then on the preview tho.
Going to do some more exploring.
Has any one found a download link for this yet. Would hate to update all my xboxs over xbox live. USB stick ftw.
Cant use HDD because it gets currupt when I plug it into old xboxs then I need to format it and recover everything.

well if you notice the refrence to quids one would assume their in europe.the us realease is tommorow the 11th

does anyone knows if this update is going to affect games patched with abgx and the like ?

I installed the preview version with no avatar files. Now i cant re-update with those files? "Customize Avatar" warns for an update for this feature.
