If your xbox is connected to a router, check on the settings.
you need to make sure DMZ settings on your router should the ip address of the xbox.
then, it should work.
if you do not follow what i am telling you, you may do 2 things.
1. just reset your router and set up your internet connect only and try to get on xbox live.
2. connect internet connection directly to your xbox and try to get on live.

I have the same problem , a friend of mine can connect to live without problem with my adsl , but my xbox can´t , It says on screnn " turn off router and wait " o something like that but does not work.
Please help, I did update NXE with a pen drive 2 days before the oficial release, And now I cant get Live.

i did it 3 weeks before it came out and it had no affect other than i had to re update after connecting to live.... that should have no bearing on you connecting to live.
